We had a wonderful church sermon this morning, I kind of wish my guy would
have heard it too, Its very encouraging it really lifted my spirit

Sermon Notes: "Living in Resurection Power" -April 8, 2012
Sermon by: Pastor Brent of my church

Romans 8:11 NIV And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living
in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal
bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

We have access to the same Power that raised Christ from the dead

- Ephesians 1:19-20

* Understand - To know and be Skilled in - experiential knowledge
*God wants us to be skilled in the resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead

Resurrection power raises us to new life!
- Romans 6:1-4
*"...live new lives"

*Walk - to tread all around
* In newness- Of a new kind, unprecedented, novel, uncommon, unheard of
* of life - God quality of life

- and just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father,
now we also are treading all around in this uncommon, unprecedented
God-quality of life! BLT

Resurrection power raises our expectations


- 1 Peter 1:3 NLT All praises to God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God
raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation


* God is in the business of resurrecting what you and the devil thought was dead
(Example - Jesus Christ being dead on Friday then being raised on Sunday, risen in 3 days)


- Colossians 3:1-2

* Colossians 3:2 MSG Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed
with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going
on around Christ--that's where all the action is.
See things from his perspective.

(My pastor shared this story - this is just a continuation of the sermon, and I thought it was great teaching)​

A True Eagle Story

Told by: My Pastor​

There was a young boy who was wandering around when suddenly
he found an Eagle egg laying on the ground. He picked up the egg
and went back to his farm placing the egg in the chicken coop. ​

Later on, the Eagle egg finally hatched and was raised with the chickens.
He watched how they could flap their wings, but could not fly very far.
They would cluck and he would copy only
because this was all he knew.​

One day he heard a loud cry; it was a screech that echoed across the
sky. He peeked his head out of the chicken coop.​

He noticed a giant bird in the sky which was another eagle soaring high
above the chicken coop.
In fear he yelled at the other eagle to get down and stop flying saying:​

"Don't you know its dangerous up there! You're a chicken!
Get back down here! Its not safe there
are snakes out there!"​

The soaring eagle only swooped down and caught a snake in its mouth and
flew around. This made the eagle on the ground sitting in the
chicken coop look at himself, he looked like that eagle too.​

So he practiced flapping his wings and screeched the same.​

The chickens gathered around him in shocked trying to lecture him
with their doubts and fears.​

They said, "Stop! Your a chicken! Who do you think you are?
You can't fly! You are one of us! Stay here its safer! You need to
keep quiet or the snakes will come find us."​

Thats when the eagle knew he wasn't a chicken, and decided to fly to new heights,
he flapped his wings and took off flying following the other eagle in the sky.​

The Moral of this story is - "You are an Eagle...you are made to soar!"​

Oh it was wonderful! It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, and it was a great teaching that day,
I had to get a cd copy of my pastors teaching because there was so much more to it, he's really funny too. Afterward we sat at the park and had a picnic, my fave past time.

I also hope you had a great Easter Sunday too Siberian!

To my guy:

I love you..

don't blame yourself for what is happening against my church,
nor what is happening against me. I don't blame you..
you don't have to ask for forgiveness, its not your fault.

This stuff happens all the time to Christians, and to the church,

but what the devil steals from the church he has to return it back
seven times over in Jesus name!

I praise God! I declare that my church's is going to get seven times
more blessings in Jesus name.

(yes...I do realize who I am dealing with, but the Devil also realizes who
he is dealing with, and greater is he who lives within me than he that is

The devil lost when Jesus stole the keys of death hell and the grave away from him.

Praise God I declare that a powerful boldness and surge of courage will enter the hearts of those
who use to be in darkness, and many will be saved! In Jesus name.

Alright time for my analyzation of this (sorry I didn't do it last time..I was just so tired) - fun fun (my analysis will probably be way off anyway... but oh well lol) This is just what I got out of this poem.

It kind of sounds to me like the injustice of the world and everything torments and bothers you,
you wonder why things continue to be evil in the world, and are getting even more evil.

Yes the world is wicked and evil because we are in the 'last day' of the worlds time...and it will only become darker and darker, but that doesn't mean
God doesn't see everything that is happenining he does and he knows, God is only waiting for everyone to come to know his son Jesus Christ before judgement comes...
and there is going to be final judgement for everyone, that is called judgement day where he judges all.

but! The thing is he knew we all wouldn't make it trying to earn our way to Heaven by trying to be perfect by doing good works only...

that was impossible! You see... Heaven is a perfect beautiful place, of peace and life and love.

Judgement is what will separate all men from God forever...

...But God could not take being without us, he loved us, he knew us before we were born, we are his creation,
that is why he sent Jesus his only son to Earth, who ran his race without sin to the cross, the perfect sacrifice to replace Adam the first son of God who became blemished and full of sin and because we are Adam's seed, we were all born cursed forever in darkness, and blemished full of sin if anyone tells you they were born perfect and without sin they are liars. All of our bloodline is cursed.

Jesus became the second Adam pure and holy without blemish, the ultimate sacrifice to take every sin ever done, past present and future of all of us. God knew what 'sins' we would sin before we did sin at all,

All he asked us to do was to truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is, real, what he did is real, and that Jesus is alive and he is coming very soon, to confess him without shame.

The commandment Jesus desires from us is.. to 'love' the Lord with all our hearts, and it had to be real love, if you loved someone you would try your best not to hurt them because you knew they had feelings, and you cherished every bit of them the way that you knew you they loved you.

the real true believers have this revelation of Jesus in their hearts and choose to follow him. That is who Jesus Christ is returning for. The ones who know in their hearts they need God and don't want to be separated from God forever.. Those ones with this revelation who want to live.

They will be taken away in a moment and forever changed and transformed made perfect then rescued and taken away to Heaven, but these true believers are asked to remain faithful to Christ to the very end in these last days. To hold onto the hope of his return.

They knew that when they truly truly asked and repented before God through Jesus name, that he would forgive them their sins and he would blot out the sins forever, forgetting them.

God is love, he'd rather have us and forgive those who truly love him and be with us forever.

That is my understanding of it anyway. I got this revelation of love when I fell in love isn't that crazy?

Uh... no? Lol. Even should a [mutual] love falter, I think it's something everyone needs (yes, "needs") to experience. And I think you hit it on the head when you said - in your scrutiny of "A Farewell to Kings" - that it dealt with injustice.

very true it changes a lot of things for the better. I know this is wierd of me to say but I don't know that my own personal love experience has faltered (he's still there, he keeps coming back, thats how I know), even though it may seem more or less pathetic of me as a woman to think anything more of it. I'm still very happy and I still believe in my guy.
love is craziness to me because it makes you bold, but its better than being in lonely fear thats what I think. I was miserable in fear, but now I don't care anymore, I'm not afraid of tomorrow, come what may is what i say.

Anyway sorry I'm blabbing on about something that might sound cheesy and pointless,
but I am a girl what can I say? I can't help myself, you forgot that you also volunteered to be my therapist!

My random thoughts:

Bad thoughts are the same as bad habits, the only way to get rid of them is to destroy them
by forcing yourself to think of the lovely good thoughts even when some bad thoughts
arise. Its like saying what will you choose today, to think positive or negative? to think
thoughts of life or thoughts of death?

This might be a fallen world, but we as believers in Christ are no longer fallen because
of our faith and belief in him and that we trust in him and the power of his blood,
we have hope and we have the promise.

I never started out as a positive thinker, I was the most negative person in the world,
I had to practice by renewing my mind with the word of God before I ever became full of faith.
It just takes practice to force yourself to think good all the time. The more positive you practice
the more you forget that you were ever a negative person.
You'll make people around you positive too!

Deuteronomy 30:19 -
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death,
