I always thought it was the most romantic thing I have ever seen and heard. It touched me as a teen,
I love it.

I heard this song in my head just before I woke up from sleep, at least a violin version of it.

Eyes On Me (Final Fantasy 8)
Lyrics by Faye Wong

Whenever sang my songs
On the stage, on my own
Whenever said my words
Wishing they would be heard
I saw you smiling at me
Was it real or just my fantasy
You'd always be there in the corner
Of this tiny little bar

My last night here for you
Same old songs, just once more
My last night here with you?
Maybe yes, maybe no
I kind of liked it your way
How you shyly placed your eyes on me
Oh, did you ever know?
That I had mine on you

Darling, so there you are
With that look on your face
As if you're never hurt
As if you're never down
Shall I be the one for you
Who pinches you softly but sure
If frown is shown then
I will know that you are no dreamer

So let me come to you
Close as I wanted to be
Close enough for me
To feel your heart beating fast
And stay there as I whisper
How I loved your peaceful eyes on me
did you ever know
That I had mine on you

Darling, so share with me
Your love if you have enough
Your tears if your're holding back
Or pain if that's what it is

How can I let you know
I'm more than the dress and the voice
Just reach me out then
You will know that you're not dreaming

Darling, so there you are
With that look on your face
As if you're never hurt
As if you're never down
Shall I be the one for you
Who pinches you softly but sure
If frown is shown then

I will know that you are no dreamer

I hope I didn't cheese my guy away, with this childhood fantasy cartoon-y-ness, of mine. lol
I'm not for the idea of magic or anything like that, but I like the theme of love, and faith at the end in ff8,
where the guy and girl have to visualize a better future in order for it to happen. I think thats a great idea, thats the perfect idea of faith. :)

I struggle a bit because its a little hard to visualize something good, but so far God has been helping me.

O___O why do they always have to make the characters look so perfect lol :p

Man is a three part being..

(great teaching - for the curious)

he IS spirit

he HAS a soul (mind will and emotion)

he LIVES in a body (his outer shell/home)

When you recieve Jesus Christ in Your heart

your spirit is made perfect.

Your mind and body are not perfect.

The mind has to be renewed by the word of God,

which has the power to save and heal the soul.

Its as growing process for the mind.

The body, which is the flesh

will be transformed after Christ returns

for the ones who have chosen

to follow and remain faithful.

Empathy speaking, this song is exactly how I feel,
I know when you hurt cause I feel it, and I pray for you, I wake up and feel you and your frustrations, and I pray for you to have peace and encouragement,
I ask for wisdom and encouraging words to give you,
Be encouraged because your never alone, God is with you. - I love you

Words I would Say
Lyrics by The Sidewalk Prophets

Three in the morning,
And I'm still awake,
So I picked up a pen and a page,
And I started writing,
Just what I'd say,
If we were face to face,
I'd tell you just what you mean to me,
I'd tell you these simple truths,

Be strong in the Lord and,
Never give up hope,
You're going to do great things,
I already know,
God's got His hand on you so,
Don't live life in fear,
Forgive and forget,
But don't forget why you're here,
Take your time and pray,
These are the words I would say,

Last time we spoke,
You said you were hurting,
And I felt your pain in my heart,
I want to tell you,
That I keep on praying,
Love will find you where you are,
I know cause I've already been there,
So please hear these simple truths,

Be strong in the Lord and,
Never give up hope,
You're going to do great things,
I already know,
God's got His hand on you so,
Don't live life in fear,
Forgive and forget,
But don't forget why you're here,
Take your time and pray,
These are the words I would say,

From one simple life to another,
I will say,
Come find peace in the Father,

Be strong in the Lord and,
Never give up hope,
You're going to do great things,
I already know,
God's got His hand on you so,
Don't live life in fear,
Forgive and forget,
But don't forget why you're here,

Take your time and pray,
Thank God for each day,

His love will find a way,

These are the words I would say...

Love Letter Sonnet

by - Lowanla U. (me)

Must I follow your cruel cold mistress aptly named fate?
She knows no love in her heart ne'er kindness to this day.
For men have clung to her leg in adoring veneration.
Her dark magick brings only control, fear, and degredation.

She feeds their souls to her brother death;
There is no love, because Fate has no heart;
Nor does she feel pity to give lovers running start.
Dare I say, I will not bow to this false goddess;
She has no remorse when making you and I dance as her puppets.

Like a kind gentle dove of hope wisdom guides me;
It is my love for you that keeps this small heart beating.
Seeking out hope I want to stand for you and your dream.
I'd rather your bewildered hate of me which is only temporary,
than to be silent and let Hell's darkness
win my lovers heart for all eternity.

Never!

I'll never let that happen.
Please let me try, please let me,
stand in Faith and trust my God.
this is all I know, and what I was taught.
I am pitiful, humble, and weak,
but I know there is hope here
so please don't stop me,
Let me seek and seek.

I consider my life lost for love,
irony that my Life's leather bound novel theme is, Life.

my heart is yours and you are a husband to me.
Love seeks life for love,
I would not sacrifice your hope!
I love you, and I cherish your life.
This situation may have pushed you
away in contempt for me,
from ever becoming your wife,
but I refuse to bow to fate,
who wears hopelessness as her garment.
I refuse to play her game with your life!
I'd rather give my life so that you would eternally live,
and that one day you will see,
I've never stopped loving you ever.

I love you - always,

- From your Valentine.
In case anyone may have read this,
"I'd rather give my life so that you would eternally live,"
what I mean to say is that I'd give up my life for them to get a revelation of Christ love for them, I know that 'my guy' is already saved, but I think he needed to know God still hears his prayers too. I wanted to encourage him to keep believing and praying in faith for his healing.

I know it might not be a big deal or anything, but I just wanted to clear that up. I am no savior, but in any case I am all weak and a foolish human, merely stating what I would do for love so that love can know peace and know Jesus and live.

I always try to point to Jesus, cause he's the way. :)

The consequence of carpe diem
by Lowanla U.K. (me)

There is gap of division
standing in the way of possibility.
Is there such a fear?

How could I not adore this attachment
with such affinity for your spectral envelop
of tenderly love.

It only leaves me desiring more,
to lay my kiss oh so gently
upon the face of future happiness.

I accede to your love with permanence
I want more, regardless of
your fortelling fears that
which has averted me from to
sharing with you all my years.

I wish not to lose you,
for I love you.
Forgive my careful unhurried
movements as I am careful
with such a fragile
joy.

for careful will I only be,
but truly longing for you
my lovely dream.

The consequence of rejecting carpe diem
is love unsatisfied in the present.
For satisfaction is a craving hunger fed,
and I am intoxicated by this state of happiness.

We Are Alive
- Lyrics by Lowanla (me)

Every child feels it going off to school
with reddened blush decorating their cheek
as their parents kiss them goodbye
as they send off their school bound child.
embarrassed they push them away
the ones who'll love
them always.

They are the ones not a part of that cool crowd
they are no one special to be around
they don't try to please everyone.
they are free enough to live life
the way God intended.

(chorus)

We are alive
Just gotta live in the moment
cherish our time
appreciate what we've been given

love and let live
give and be given

we are alive

gotta live for the moment
love and let live
give and be given

we are alive

My lovely dream,
Your not obligated to me
I did this so you could be free
I couldn't take your pain and suffering
God had called me to do the right thing,
and even though it may be love
I know I'm not cool enough for the real thing,
but it was worth it because you've awakened
something new in me.

(chorus)

Just know my heart has always been
and always will be yours,
but I gotta let you go
but I wanted you to know...

I am so happy for you,
and I want you to live your life
the way you've always dreamed
in fullness of freedom
I just want you to be happy.
I release you
be free

We are alive
Just gotta live in the moment
cherish our time
appreciate what we've been given

love and let live
give and be given

we are alive
we are alive

we are alive

(softly ending)
...and I'm so happy.

I like the lyrics though, sounds like quite a struggle, but at least they realize they didn't lose who they are in it, they just realize they are who they are in a whole new world but outside of captivity.

you never truly lose who you are, just the bondage of fear and pain that kept you back from living. You don't have to be perfect, you just gotta be, and take baby steps. Nobody starts out perfect they just grow up spiritually, I suppose for myself I had some 'motivation' to force myself out of the darkness, I wanted to know everything to help someone with their dream, it made me grow up fast. Its a love drive for me but was never an easy thing.

Thats how these lyrics speak to me, I like them they are very insightful and real.

how is it hard? Is it so fast? Don't worry you'll get it, just pretend your playing a very slow song at first, then speed up eventually to the right beat. I tried bass once, but this was a couple of years ago. I'm thinking of learning the acoustic guitar. I don't know why I'm afraid to, but I still want to learn some worship songs. :p

Odd... I thought I replied to this thread recently. =/

The difficult parts are (or were, rather. :D) two scales in the song; one a filler, and one a riff. The filler is very quick, I'd say each note is 1/16. And the other scale was just a pain to memorize. >.< But the song on the whole is like one long bass solo, and although the song is only 3+ minutes long... it has a lot of fillers and is just kinda all over the place, haha.

The next challenge is being able to sing while play it. *dies*

O___O Honestly that was all a fly by...lol, musical jargon ack.
sounds awesome I'll have to check the song out now.
Its easy, as easy as patting your head and rubbing your tummy.

You can do it,
and nothing is impossible.

As I quote my younger sister, "Impossible only means I'm Possible."

Tread carefully on that idea. :D

A subject so maligned by those who have lost it
and endlessly praised by those it has found
a multi-faceted jewel, each side different
that combine to create a majestic gem
does it truly live in each one of us?
or is love a rarer thing to find?
the backbone of life itself
or rather, true... living.

Quotes on how I feel...

"Saints do not move, though grant for prayers' sake." - Juliet (William Shakespeare Quote)

"..and but thou love me, let them find me here:
My life were better ended by their hate,
Than death prorogued, wanting of thy love." - Romeo (William Shakespeare Quote)

"Three words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed.
If that thy bent of love be honourable,
Thy purpose marriage, send me word to-morrow,
By one that I'll procure to come to thee,
Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite;
And all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay
And follow thee my lord throughout the world." - Juliet (William Shakespeare Quote)

"...but iif thou mean'st not well,
I do beseech thee--
To cease thy suit, and leave me to my grief:
To-morrow will I send. - Juliet (William Shakespeare Quote)

"So thrive my soul..." Romeo quote (William Shakespeare Quote)

"A thousand times good night!" -- Juliet (William Shakespeare Quote)

Ardor Flame
- Poem by Lowanla U.K. (me)

Have you come to rest by my side
to comfort my tearful distress?
Too faithful to deny my grief,
Love comes into rescue as a
doting husband indeed.

He draws in warmth affectionate
to comfort this wretched heart.
Beloved companion commits himself
to this loving submitted helpmate.

He, as sweet as sunlights gentle kiss,
alleviates a taunting cruel and cold distance.
Must I learn this lesson you teach,
as I suffer your gentle touch
that is just right out of my reach?

His love is amorous
faithful as ardor flame,
yet just as well,
it mocks as passionately
the same as hate.

My forlorn spirit asphyxiates,
patiently to reward delicate tangibility,
and in tolerating this waiting game;
I may wither to death all the more,
as I, an unmoved stone all the same,
so hopefully pitiful for an open door.

"The Speed Of Love"

Love is born with lightning bolts
Electro-magnetic force
Burning skin and fireworks
A storm on a raging course
Like a force of nature
Love can fade with the stars at dawn
Sometimes it takes all your strength
Just to keep holding on

At the speed of love
A radiance that travels
At the speed of love
My heart goes out to you

Love is born with solar flares
From two magnetic poles
It moves towards a higher plane
Where two halves make two wholes
Like a force of nature
Love shines in many forms
One night we are bathed in light
One day carried away in the storms

At the speed of love
Nothing changes faster
Than the speed of love
My heart goes out to you

We don't have to talk
We don't even have to touch
I can feel your presence
In the silence that we share
Got to keep moving
At the speed of love
Nothing changes faster
Than the speed of love
Got to keep on shining
At the speed of love
Nothing changes faster
Than the speed of love

At the speed of love
A radiance that travels
At the speed of love
My heart goes out to you

I have never seen this play in person but I plan too just one of these days, I somehow relate to this song, in a way.

Phantom of the Opera
lyrics - From the Play - "Phantom of the Opera"

Christine:
In sleep he sang to me,
In dreams he came.
That voice which calls to me,
And speaks my name
And do I dream again?
For now I find,
The Phantom of the Opera is here,
Inside my mind

Phantom:
Sing once again with me,
Our strange duet.
My power over you,
Grows stronger yet.
And though you turn from me,
To glance behind.
The Phantom of the Opera is there,
Inside your mind.

Christine:
Those who have seen your face,
Draw back in fear.
I am the mask you wear.

Phantom:
It's me they hear.

Both:
My/your spirit and my/your voice,
In one combined.
The Phantom of the Opera is here/there
Inside your/my mind

Offstage:
He's there, the Phantom of the Opera!
Beware, The Phantom of The Opera!
[ Lyrics from: Phantom Of The Opera - The Phantom Of The Opera Lyrics ]

Phantom:
In all your fantasies
You always knew
That man and mystery

Christine:
Were both in you

Both:
And in this labyrinth
Where night is blind
The Phantom of the opera is there/here
Inside your/my mind

Phantom:
Sing my Angel of Music

Christine:
He's there, The Phantom of the Opera!
(Vocalizing)

Phantom:
Sing!

Christine:
(Vocalizing higher)

Phantom:
Sing for me!

Christine:
(Vocalizing higher)

Phantom:
Sing my angel of music!

Christine:
(Sings higher)

Phantom:
SING FOR ME!

Phantom:
I have brought you,
To the seat of sweet music's throne.
To this kingdom where all must pay homage to music,
Music.
You have come here.
For one purpose and one alone.
Since the moment I first heard you sing,
I have needed you with me to serve me, to sing,
For my music.
My music
