Hey, Miss Gem, welcome to the website, but better yet, welcome to the family of God! :)

I'm SOOOOOO happy that you prayed the salvation prayer, I'm assuming that you asked Jesus to come into your heart and life and make you a new creation! It would also be a good idea to ask Jesus to fill you with The Holy Spirit, also known as "The Comforter" :).

Please don't worry about what your mom said, she just doesn't understand what's going on in your heart and life (maybe The Lord will use you one day to tell her! ;). If you stay close to Jesus, you won't end up anywhere NEAR the nuthouse! :D

Message me if you want to talk, ok? Welcome to the family, Sis! <3 -Love, Nichole

Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Some of those “mother” sayings are a reflection of their own special problems, not something for us. My mother kept telling me I had to change if I was going to make it. I lived with someone else until I was five, when she met me that is what she said and it was her last words to me when she died in my house when she was 90. Negative sayings can get into your head and about ruin your life, even when you know it isn’t at all true. You can love your Mom without letting those untrue sayings get to you.

I put the idea in my head that God created me, gave me unique talents and a unique life, and I had a right to the life God gave me. Took a long time, but that became what I lived by instead of what Mom said.

You are just as strong as your Mom, and you have the guidance of your Creator God to guide you. Unless you listen to false teachers, there is nothing that can defeat you.

Please know I send this out of love, the sinners prayer cannot save you, just receiving Christ cannot save you, be very suspicious of your feelings, they are NOT proof you are saved!

Jesus said the road was narrow, few would make it, and those in the churches today are getting saved by saying a little prayer, NO real repentance and faith, you come into the kingdom still defiled In your sins, and this is a false conversion.

Evidence of True Salvation. Can I KNOW I am Saved?
True spiritual assurance can only be given by the Holy Spirit of God. If you have really come to Christ an intense 'spiritual' warfare is taking place inside your soul. The flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh! Gal5:17 WITHOUT the FULL Armor of God, Eph6:12-18, you DO NOT stand a chance against the wiles of the devil and you WILL 'shipwreck' your faith & Forfeit your salvation. BEWARE lest anyone 'beguile' you as the 'serpent' deceived Eve, 2Cor11:3-4, and 'corrupt' your mind from the Simplicity that is in Christ. "The deceitfulness of sin will harden your heart against God's Word." Heb3:12-14
"For we have become 'partakers' of Christ IF we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end!"
The 'Works' of the flesh are evident: (Gal5:19-21) adultery, fornication, uncleanness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murder, drunkenness, revelries and the like....of which I TOLD you beforehand, just as I told you in time past, that those WHO PRACTICE such things WILL NOT inherit the Kingdom of God."
But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have Crucified the flesh with it passions and desires. (Gal5:22-24)
If you DO NOT 'Crucify' the flesh by the Power of the Spirit, you will be overcome by sin and Fall from Grace. That's what Jesus meant when He said 'Abide in Me, bare fruit or be cut off!' (John15:1-6)
"Do not be deceived, God is NOT mocked, for whatever a man sows that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life! And let us NOT grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap, IF we do not give up!"
Gal6:7-9
The message of the Gospel is simple. Men have perverted & twisted it to accommodate sin. God has made provision through GRACE for you to 'Crucify' the flesh with it's lusts and desires, Walk in newness of life, possess the Mind of Christ....and bare the fruit of the Spirit. Refuse and you have 'believed' in vain. (1Cor15:2)
Grace DOES NOT accommodate your sin, it is the power of God to eradicate the corrupting influence it has over your flesh! 2Pet1:4, 1Pet1:22
Titus 2:11-12 "For or the GRACE of God has appeared to all men. teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age."
That's Grace. The Kind the Bible teaches. NOT the Cheap variety preached in your churches. If you have 'accepted' Jesus and are still bound by lust, you are LOST still! KNOW this, there is no such thing as a 'Christian drunkard', 'Christian adulterer', 'Christian fornicator', 'Christian thief' 'Christian homosexual'
In other words, 'Carnal' Christianity DOES NOT exist. ONLY in the minds of the cheap grace preachers. 1Cor3:3 is NOT talking about people bound by sexual immorality as in Chapter six. It's referring to people in the church with minor 'disagreements' over their favorite teachers. Your preachers are lying to you by using this as an excuse to permit sexual immorality in the church! Just like they do with Rom7
Rom7 is Paul's experience prior to conversion to Christ, trying to be holy under the law and finding it impossible. His WALK afterward is CLEARLY shown in scripture, SEE: 1Cor4:16, 11:1, 2Cor6:3-10,11:23-33, Gal2:17-21, Phil3:6-11, 3:17, Col1:28-29, 1Thess2:10-12, 2Tim1:3, Acts24:16
WHY would this man of God describe his conduct as BLAMELESS and his Walk as PURE if it wasn't true?
The NORMAL Christian experience is VICTORY over sin & lust! That's what the Bible teaches. What your preachers teach is nothing short of a Gospel of sin!
"But if while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? GOD FORBID!" Gal2:17
"I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me! The life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. I DO NOT set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law then Christ died in vain." Gal2:10-21
It is an INSULT to the Spirit of Grace to teach someone they can continue in Willful sin AFTER they have come to Christ! Heb10:26
Whether you have 'Believed' for a while, or 'Never' really 'believed' is NOT the issue. The message of the Gospel is the Power of God's Grace to Deliver you from sin! The Keeping power of God is through His Grace, Heb7:25, BUT the Gospel is: 'IF YOU CONTINUE IN HIS GOODNESS, Steadfast to the end. OTHERWISE you also will be CUT OFF!' Rom11:22
He will NEVER leave or forsake you, Nothing can separate you from His love and NO ONE can Snatch you out of His hand....BUT unless these precious promises are 'contingent' on YOUR WILLING Obedience to CONTINUE in the Faith....the BIBLE doesn't make sense!
God has made this eternal Decree through his Prophets: Ezk18:24-27
"IF the Righteous man turns from his righteousness and sins, he dies in his sin."
"IF the Wicked man turns from his wickedness and does what is right, he lives!"
What's NOT FAIR in this decree? 'YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW'
GRACE DOES NOT remove this eternal Principle. That would make it 'license' to sin.
GOD FORBID Christ would die to preach a Gospel of sin!
You can KNOW your are in Christ according to Scripture. By the fact that you are NO LONGER walking in your old sins. 1John3:1-9 YOU ARE NOT Saved in Christ IF you continue in sin!
"Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. IF what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you ALSO will abide in the Son and in the Father!" 1John2:24 (True assurance)
"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may CONTINUE to believe in the name of the Son of God!" 1John5:13 (KJV leaves out 'continue' but Greek implies it)
The Message is "IF YOU CONTINUE" The OSAS preachers are lying to you! Flee their churches. Don't support them with your time or money, or you will PARTAKE in their sin! 2John7-10
READ your Bible, SEEK Christ, Pray for the Spirit to teach you the Truth! Your eternal soul is at stake!
Jesus said FEW would find the NARROW Gate & many false teachers would hinder your way. Matt7:13-16 DON'T Be deceived by the False teachers of OSAS. Turn to Christ and LIVE!

Biblical repentance
2 Corinthians 7:10-11
10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 11 For observe this very thing that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
The way to the cross, is godly sorrow, not the sorrow of the world. Godly sorrow produces repentance (stopping the sin) leading to what? Salvation! Never going back to the sins of death, 1 Corinthians 6-9-11.
The sorrow of the world, leads to death, since the sin never stops, so then godly sorrow will produce: diligence in you,(the virtue of hard work rather than the sin of careless,) clearing of all wrong doing, what indignation(strong displeasure at something considered unjust, offensive, insulting, or base; righteous anger.)Follower by fear of God and His wrath, a vehement desire(Characterized by forcefulness of expression or intensity of emotion or conviction; fervid) a zeal and passion to do right and make amends if possible, what vindication(a means of exoneration from an accusation) you proved yourself to be clear(pure)of all known sin and disobedience before God.
This happens before forgiveness will be granted, because we have free will and ability, to repent, stop the sin, and obey God from a pure and undefiled heart, thus becoming savable, and broken, ready to receive the implanted word with a clean conscience, purified through repentance and faith proven by deeds!

I'm sure you mean well, but it sounds like this young lady just came to Jesus a day or so ago. We know that sin is wrong, but it would appear that you are trying to water a freshly sprouted seed with a fire-hose, and you're going to blast it away. Please try to show a little more patience and gentleness, ok? The greatest commandment is to LOVE God, not to be terrified of Him. True love brings obedience along with it :)

Water this precious new seedling gently, God will bring forth the growth ;) -Nichole

You have chosen Jesus, which means you will never be alone again :). God says "I will never leave you nor forsake you." I know it is hard to have such great, exciting news and to have your family be negative towards it. We are also your family now and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask me or my wife (CC_Bride) anything we will always be happy to help. The best thing to do now that you have made this choice is spend time talking with God and reading His word, also find a older godly woman at church and join a bible study group. Learn and trust and God will do the rest.

Is it wrong to give truth to someone who has been deceived?

Do you not love the truth so much you will sugar coat a false conversion?

I don't see this as being mean, you can see me this way, there is only one way to the cross, the sinners prayer doesnt save, yes Gods mercy is great and longsuffering, but not for the unrepentant sinner, who thinks they are saved because they said a brief prayer!

If you best friend was walking into a situation that you know they Will perish unless you warn them, then you did nothing but just coddle them with I love you and wont bother to tell you the truth, where is the love?

I deeply apologize if I have offended anyone with the truth, I don't mean to be heartless, but this message isn't being taught in the churches, this person needs to repent, and seek His mercy, not think they are saved because they said the Billy Graham prayer!

This message isn't accepted well today as its unloving, mean, and unkind, it doesnt tickle the ears, and is the only way to the cross!

I deeply apoligize for my strong message, my zeal is no excuse to be heartless, I pray you understand, and hope you woud atleast keep seeking the Lord with all your heart, and know He is drawing Himself to you as you reach out, my messages are strong, many hate them and disagree, I can only pray you see what a real saving faith is and grow in truth and knowledge, I do not condemn you or anybody, this isnt my job, but I do want to share truth as I am learning.

There is more to salvation than most realize, I pray you find peace, seek truth, and know God wants none to perish, but all to come to repentance.

My humble apoligies again.

You are in my prayers.

In some ways I agree and in some ways I don't. I agree, the sinners prayer doesn't save you. ...JESUS saves you. And believing Him and receiving Christ as your personal Lord and Savior does. Yes, you gotta follow God's Word, and you gotta change your ways. But she just got saved...she's got a long way to go.

Btw I saw you apologized and that's awesome :)
