The paper had 14 words on it. That's not nearly enough to get any sort of valid context. Heck, for all we know, it could have been referring the Christ's bride, the church.
Yeah I saw the full translation of it and you can make it say
anything you want. Even to the opposite effect of what's portrayed.
I tried my best to research that word "my wife" in that language, and it more literally is "my woman", but there appears to have been the understanding that "my woman" meant wife.
However, there is a situation with these ancient languages, in the fact that they usually didn't have a word for "bride". And your betrothed, or bride, would be referred to as "wife" even before the wedding night.
It even looks pretty easy to make that script appear to be the disciples questioning Him as to why don't he marry Mary. Doesn't seem far fetched to me since they didn't understand a lot of things about Him and asked Him several questions that He responded cleverly to. He could have been saying that He has a wife assigned to Him already, and that Mary instead would become His disciple.
So there, lady with the parchment, We didn't even whip out the "canon" and shot you down until you find the rest of your doc. Then We'll break out the "canon."
I'm surprised the Vatican hasn't noticed the "
my mother gave me life" part of it yet. Shhh.
