Lord God, I pray that as Blain reads tomorrow he will be covered by the Holy Spirit, that the Spirit would impart to him the wisdom he seeks, and lead him in seeking your wisdom. I bind and silence anything of the enemy that would seek to interfere, and I do so in the name of Jesus who's blood was shed for all.

Blain, as I pray for you in your search of Proverbs, will you pray for me?
Not one of us stands in a place where we don't need Godly wisdom,
yet not all of us recognize that fact. :)

I thank and praise You, King of all, that You gave us the Bible, and in it You wrote letters of love to us, sharing all the wisdom we need to live lives that please and glorify you. Please grant Your wisdom to us in our search for wisdom. Open the eyes of our hearts to Your truth, and give generously to us of Your wisdom. I believe You will do this simply because You wish for us to have this wisdom we seek, and You want us to know You. You are the One Who placed a desire for Your wisdom in Blain's heart, and for this I am so grateful, Abba! Thank You for leading me in this way with my little brother. Thank You for his presence here with us. It is so good to see a young man look so diligently for You. I ask that you will reward this search beyond all he could imagine. And that You will also grant his desire to bless others with what he receives, for he doesn't just look for himself. Thank You for his humility and his love for You, in the Name of the One Who came to bring life, and light to the darkness, Amen!

I was just going to post the verse...
This is my prayer for you!
Love in Christ, Shekaniah

James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

This is so beautiful... I know god has truly given the gift of words
and i know i can never become wise because all wisdom comes from god i am just a messanger, but for someone to be able to pray like that and use word's like so to inspire people. Truly you are not a mere messanger your destiny is great. I do not mean to pick favorites from these prayers, and i will do my best to seek this wisdom. just because we have wisdom does not make us wise for like i said all wisdom comes from god, and the wisdom that makes us known as wise is a gift from god not our own

I'd seriously be very careful with that topic. Like seriously. I actually did that. I prayed for wisdom. ya well sure enough I got it alright. I learned a ton of things I never knew before about how this world works. Let me tell you something "ignorance is bliss". Here's what you do, just get a regular job if you dont' have one already. Don't do anything bad in life, pay your taxes, don't do anything to wreck your credit, be nice to people. Don't make too much money. And you'll have a great life. You'll have a very comfortable life. Dont' rock the boat okay. If you go rocking the boat you might find out a bunch of stuff about how this work works. What will happen is when you realize how evil and corrupt "the system" is out there you'll might end up getting really synical pessemistic biter and jaded about life. Ignorance is certainly bliss. It's better not to know too much. It really is. Most of the wisdom out there points to pulling away the vail about how life really works. Seriously don't bother with trying to figure out too much. Just stay innocent, naive even. Life's easier, less worries, less synisizm and pessimism that way, as you won't know any better as you go through your innocent little life. I'll pray for you.

I understand where you're coming from but i made a promise to god i would not be a lukewarm christian, i cannot be satisfied with just makeing it ok. I truly want to soar into the skies in my faith. I know it is a nasty world out there but i can feel safe knowing i am not alone in it. and with wisdom and understanding we can make it through life much easier:D

There is certainly some truth to this, as far as worldly knowledge goes. I think what this speaks to is the flesh, the good and the evil sides of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which brought about our downfall in the Garden.
Even the good side of that tree is not what our God called 'good'. But as believers we need not fear knowledge, so long as we submit to our God in all things. Eve was deceived and thought that tree was good for food, and a delight to her eyes. She lacked the very wisdom she sought to gain by eating that fruit, and her perception of it was dead wrong, quite literally. :(
What we seek is Godly wisdom, and that's completely different. Wisdom from God enables us to use knowledge in ways that please Him. We also need understanding from the Lord, and what we are looking for only He can give us, for He is the only Source of real wisdom.

I read somewhere that wisdom is not knowing good and evil, it is knowing good from evil. I do agree it shouldn't be the world's wisdom we seek, because it's foolishness. But the Bible adjures us over and over to seek and get Godly wisdom and understanding. Experientially we ought be very ignorant of evil, and even limit what we know of the world. And it's true that, for some of us, knowledge of evil can lead to cynicism. But it doesn't have to be that way, if we understand what God says to us in His Word. And I can attest to the fact that God can deliver even the most hardened cynic---me. :)

Final thought: although it should be undertaken prayerfully, what if people like George Mueller said, I don't want to know about homeless, starving children; it will make me cynical that no one cares for them? Or the many who helped bring about a stop to the slave trade in Europe and the US in the 1800s? Or the believers who are even now working to stop it, and to minister to those who were entrapped by it? I'm sure I could go on for quite a while about those who have worked and do work to put a stop to evil, but I'm also sure you get the point. :)

It sounds like you have been hurt by what you have learned, Cdndude, and if you don't mind, I will pray for you. ♥ I think you received knowledge , but without God's wisdom, we don't know how to use knowledge.
There is no hurt so deep the Lord cannot heal it. (Thank You, Lord!)
I am so glad you weighed in! :)

Stay humble, obey God, don't be wise in your own eyes but lean on His wisdom............

I think the amount of 'likes' on this request speaks volumes, like Solomon, God loves it when we ask for wisdom instead of riches etc :)

Thank you all for your prayers, i read a bit of proverbs but honestly i was a little lazy today. But tomorrow will be better i made a promise to god - to find wisdom and help people and i am going to keep it. I also hope to inspire others to search for wisdom, because it really makes reading the bible fun. when you are searching for knowledge to better yourself the bible is an amzing thing to have. Everyone keep strong and don't be afraid to stand out and be different- if everyone were normal that would be boring:D
