if you as a christian believe in and teach a future 1,000 'kingdom', you are contributing to all those wars [which is one big war, about to get bigger].

i don't mean you're aware of it peter....but this wouldn't be happening without the leaven of Dispensational Theology.

but all things must come to pass.

you're big on the wheat and the tares....

figure it out.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Ones the resurrection has happened the battle will be different, as for right now we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

Right now this world is not my home we are strangers and pilgrims

Hebrews 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

I hope you not thinking about taking up firearms Zone and blowing holes in some sinners

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah, very verrrrrrry interesting.
Good perception Zone.
Ok fine, I relinquish my weapons
All 2 of them
My Chipmonk .22 bolt action rifle
and my Red rider BB gun
But I expect to be compensated market value for them
The Red Rider is a collectors item before they even made the collectors edition 50th anniversary model
I may need to use the money to buy Gas for one last jaunt in my truck, to go for a ummm campin trip :)
There...are all y'all happy
We can all live in peace now
But dont come cryin to me when Big Brother wants to take our houses and use them to house citizen patrol troops while they flush us into 1 room 3 or 4 story housing complexes and ration our water.

s'okay Welder, i'm sure between us we can MacGyver somethin' up.

We are always to examine what "peace" is being propagated. How many of these "you can't take up or bear arms and be a christian" people do not, in effect, contribute to wars by their "pacifism"? This is especially true of the "Israel first" crowd, but also of others. Gives me the vibes of the european "peace movement", sometimes backed by the KGB, during the cold war. They wanted only the west to disarm and wouldn't in practice have lifted a finger against soviet invasion.

The only problem is it’s the sword its the word of God and sharper than any twoedged sword.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

As for the paperclips, I don’t think it will cut it

I've stockpiled some food and disaster supplies both for the eartquake and the tribulation judgment. I have a gun just in case someone comes along and tries to take it. But the weapon I am really intending to call upon is the gift of the Holy Spirit enabling the cache to serve the multitude, just like the loaves and fishes.

By the grace of the Holy Spirit, I will send no one away hungry. But by the grace of Smith and Wesson, try to take it for yourself and I'll put holes in you sinner.

Ok so we all want the same thing right
No killing, no wars, to coexist peacefully together.
So uh, lets forget about guns for minute
Who kills more people every year and throughout history more than God?
Who makes the wars?
The Governments right?
So how do we curtail this whole "enforce by force" method in order to secure peace and freedom?
This would mean we would have to regulate or ban the Govt, not guns
Cuz I dont see how one can reconcile saying theyre Christian and theyre not gonna kill but they support their Govt who does it for them
So, last question, how do we accomplish that and thereby stop the ones killing more people including innocent casualties every year
The most effective solution I see is to regulate the ones making the wars
Or should all Christians just walk right into the slaughter and say here I am and leave the world to fend for itself leaving no Christians left to spread the good news to lead to the last of the lost to Christ before his return.
Im having a difficult time seeing the glorious honor as a Christian in sitting back and thinking
"oh the Govt. yeah well thats their business theyve always been like that all makin war and bombing people and such, I just live here and they may kill me too but thats alright...AT LEAST IMMMM SAVEDDDD!"

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

Hmmm, maybe, go ahead and pick on my noisy cricket paperclip sword
but its the power behind the sword, not the size of it
All the people including his brothers laughed at David as well when he.....
What did he do again?

You have been living in America too long.

A typical right wing redneck Christian statement. Jesus would be pleased.

The rest of us that have no Second Amendment, we just trust the Lord and have faith in him and his grace to keep us safe.

They LOVE the Second Amendment in the United States,

Even some Christians LOVE the Second Amendment.

they LOVE the Second Amendment and there stuff

Out of context brother,
Anyway, I can see your viewpoint. It does appear that way a lot of times.
But most of us dont care about our stuff, or material possesions and its not that the gun is our God or takes Gods place.
What it is more is that yes we are called to live at peace if that be possible.
Sometimes its not possible.
In our country, we had some very brave and driven Christian followers who fought against and triumphed over Tyranny and oppressive government systems.
Those men instilled laws to protect their future generations of people who populated this country.
Freedom was the result of their endeavors.
How many countries have the same freedoms as America?
It takes those same kind of people to defend to keep what our country was founded and started on.
It was fighting for it in faith that made it all possible
And were about to lose that
All the world is
We'd like to hold onto it for just a little while longer and give it a hug before stepping back and watching it be destroyed by the same kind of people we fled from when we came here.Does that make sense?
Its not glorifying guns
We just dont like em pointed at our heads to be told to do something or else
Know what I mean
Of course you dont

I'll make a deal with ya PS.
If the Govt wishes its citizens to suddenly and unjustifiably with no cause(they arent Christian so they cant claim that reason for peace and harmony, by peace the enemy will decieve)
If you get the Govt to give up their guns I will give up mine.
They go first
Or Samesies timesies Even
1.2.3. GO!!!!
Have you always been tied to your mothers apron strings?

I thought Americans were proud of their independent spirit?

Police state.
The movement is on the rise.
'Create' more gun violence to justify ban on guns.
Follow through with ban.
Civil war between those fighting for the right, and those trying to take it.
Those trying to take it will win.
Government confiscates all arms...
Citizens cannot defend themselves... Police state.
At least, this the agenda that the government (American) is advancing. I was talking about this with a friend who is really into political trends.

Where does Jesus come in to this, you ask? "nation will rise up against nation", does not necessarily mean country. Nation as the people, and nation as the country. The country (the government) rises up against the people. Nation over nation. There you have it.

BUT even without regards to prophecy or future events, the expression "guns don't kill people, people kill people" is absolutely true with regards to the bible. Jesus said that if you have ill feelings towards someone, in your heart you've committed murder. So really, whether or not you have a gun is irrelevant. Now obviously if you're killed by gunshot, there goes your body. BUT NOT YOUR SPIRIT. I think it's kind of indeterminate whether or not guns are ok, because they are just weapons that were made. I just think when we talk about cases of killing or causing harm, we're looking at the intent. Right?

I could be very, very wrong and confused.

You are correct to talk about intent. The gun is the preferred tool. But it is the intent that worries me. The pictures we see of violence are dreadful, but if we could take a picture of a persons thoughts, then how much more dreadful must that be. I think we would be looking at a picture Satan?

Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

iHoarding water, stockpiling food, guns and ammonition will not help,

Satan knows who has what, when and where and at the time appointed he will give his power to the powers that be and then they will know because they have the power of satan

Revelation 13

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

it tickles me to see people saying and thicking what they plan on doing with there weapons without knowledge.

Job 36

10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression
