Turning the other cheek can be understood as accepting ones punishment if it is deserved without retaliation.
It was common place in that day to be struck on the side of the face disrespecting one in authority over you, such as the ruling Magistrate
As well turning the other cheek is good measure when it is an instance of a heated argument or something and one person flies off the handle in the heat of the situation.
A Christian in that circumstance could understand that remaining calm so as to let the other get their frustrations out is better than fueling the fire to prevent things from escalating.
These are more one on one circumstances.
Entirely different than a nations govt. turning against its own citizens.
Try and be more informed about it.

Im glad you brought up Jesus' example of being able to call upon a several legions of Angels Approx 72,000
It should be understood why the demons trembled and submitted to him while he was even but a human here on earth.
Jesus did not have any supernatural power as a human and did everything by the power of his Father in heaven while here.
The demons tremble because.........................
They knew he had power backing his words.
They knew what he was capable of, and therefore feared him because of it.
They knew the repercussions if they didnt submit to his authority.
THAT my friend is exactly what the definition of MEEK is
Power under control
Knowing what one is capable of and only administering such power
IF
and
WHEN
necessary
And those with that experience most often do turn the other cheek understanding what they are capable of and that the other is highly ignorant of what they are doing and will learn their lesson in a more Noble fashion.
Most likely from conviction
Conviction of the Gentile Govt Nations isnt going to change the prophecy of the end times
Perhaps you could understand the time we live in now.
Unfortunately that you opinion
Fortunately The Lord meant what he said and it is very clear

Matthew 5:39 (KJV)
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

If you are clocked on one cheek turn the other cheek and get clocked
No interpretation is needed

Hi IOG

Do you think Israel should destroy all of its weapons, give up its army, tanks and airforce, and just trust God to directly protect it from those who seek its destruction?
Israel should do exactly what prophesy tells them to do
Let me ask you something Mark

Do they believe in Jesus ?

If not then why should they give up there weapons?

As you haven't directly answered the question, I assume you believe they should destroy all of their weapons, if I am wrong, please correct me. It's difficult to guess what you mean exactly if the question is not forthrightly answered

If you do your research instead of interpreting with a human mind or being led by another human
When Jesus instructed turning the other cheek, the left hand was considered unclean and it was almost a sarcastic action of the one being hit knowing he would not be hit again
So it could also mean, You can hit me once but not twice ;)

Ok

Bit it don't say retaliate or blow the person head off

So you walk away after getting popped in the cheek

Don't retaliate

So where does the weapon play in the verse ?

So God called you to be a welder?

Welders don't need a gun'
Went Right over ur head didnt it.

You asked if I'm David
By the same token you've handed me I now hand it back and ask you,
Are you God?

Do you claim to know what God tells me, instructs me, leads me?
If so, we should get together and meet sometime
It would be great to meet with someone who is of more divine wisdom and authority than the Lord himself.

Remember what God said,
Lean not on your own understanding.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, my ways are not your ways.

Who told you to kill God's creation

Lets read again

God said he kills and make alive

God told man not to kill

Exodus 20:13 (KJV)
Thou shalt not kill.

Are you all God?

Dump that translation a s read what it suppose to say

Exodus 22:2 (KJV)
If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
Exodus 22:2-4 (KJV)
If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. [3] If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. [4] If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double.

If it makes you feel better, but thats your choice of words, not mine
So now I turn the other cheek
But not before stating that my response referencing exodus after you first did was to enlighten you to take all scripture into account.
Not throw out or take away what you dont like.

Both in old and new testament

Deut 4:2
Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you.

Rev 22:19
And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Job 15:14-16 (KJV)
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? [15] Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. [16] How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

Gun owners who would slay a man what chance do you have

Will you slay a man with that?

I already asked the question what did Cain slay Abel with?

Genesis 4:8 (KJV)
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

What has to do with your argument?

Jesus is peace and life

Weapons are death and destruction

All through the bible we see this
