I'm a big fan of reading before I fall asleep. Do any of y'all do the same? And if so, what are you reading?

I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

A friend of a friend who is a big Tolkien fan wrote and published a book called The Order of Trees, I would like to read that in the next few months. If its anything like Tolkien's stuff, I will enjoy it.

"Spurgeon: Prince of Preachers" - by biographer Lewis Drummond.

This biography is the largest and most detailed account of the 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon (it's 950 pages, and I can't believe I've only got 100 pages to go! What a journey!!!).

For those who are admirers of Spurgeon's life and ministry, this book is a must read. I very highly recommend it!

Recently I've begun to use GoodReads to record what I wish to read, what I'm currently reading and what I have read.

Currently reading:
The Brick Bible: A New Spin on the Old Testament (non-fiction - Lego Bible!)
Incorruptible Heart - David McCracken (non-fiction)
working through the Fullmetal Alchemist series (manga)

About to begin:
The Telling - Mike Duran (horror fiction)

I love The Brick Testament pictures on their website, I didn't know they had a book as well!

Two books. The first has stories from the Old Testament (Genesis to Chronicles - excluding Ruth), and the other has stories from the New Testament (the Gospels, Acts, Revelation). Apparently, the website is more complete (it has the Law of Moses, Job and the Epistles) but it also has more violence and sex than the comics. That's not to say the books aren't violent, they are. The Brick Testaments are very good but they shouldn't be your only Bible.

I'm close to finished with The Talisman (Stephen King and Peter Straub). Haven't updated my Goodreads account yet, but will soon. I loved Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

Some of which I'm currently reading:

Ham Radio for Dummies
Farm Girl
Exposing Satan's Playbook: The secrets and strategies Satan hopes you never discover
On Combat
Push Back: Reclaiming the American Judeo-Christian Spirit

-The Sun Also Rises (getting ready for the hemingway days festival :))
-Ethical and professional standards and quantitative methods

Goodreads...I don't have an account but its great for gathering book inspiration. I just use Pinterest to pin all the books and movies I should get around to

The Well of Ascension-Brandon Sanderson
The Pursuit of God-A.W. Tozer
War in Heaven-Charles Williams

Too many books too little time

I've been using Goodreads for years now, its my favorite site.

I'm reading The crown of Eden by Thomas Williams. It's book number 2 in the 7 kingdom Chronicles. The books are a lot like Lord of the rings.

Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky is currently on the stack. It's the third time I've read it. First two times were for pleasure, now I'm using it as a source for a paper.

At the beginning of this year I started reading The Chronicles of Narnia series (which I got for Christmas). I'm now starting on "Prince Caspian".

It's my New Year's resolution of sorts to read all of the books I have on my bookshelf, which is quite a few! I'm excited, though. :) There are many I've started but never finished and many that I've never read. After I finish the Narnia series, I'll start reading "The Holiness of God" by R.C. Sproul and "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" by Dee Brown.

I absolutely have to read before I go to bed :) This is why I absolutely love my Kindle Fire I read at least 2 to 3 books a week. But I was going to suggest you should totally check out Karen Witemyer she is a Christian Romance author and her books are awesome :)

I try not to read before bed anymore. I'd always tell myself "5 more minutes" or "Just the end of this chapter" and then an hour later...which is alright during the day, but not late at night when you have to get up early the next morning. ;)

If the book is really good, I will finish it in one sitting depending on how big it is.
