[SUP]Please note this is only two people fighting and causing injury to the child so what should one conclude about what God thinks about abortion

Exodus 21

22 [/SUP]“If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely
[SUP][e][/SUP] but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life, [SUP]24 [/SUP]eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,[SUP]25 [/SUP]burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.

Is a fetus considered by God to be a human life.
Romans 9:10-13
[SUP]10[/SUP] And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; [SUP]11[/SUP] (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) [SUP]12[/SUP] It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. [SUP]13[/SUP] As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

As we can see, Jacob was loved and Esau was hated, even before birth. Therefore, they were human beings while still in their mothers womb.
Preplanned killing of an innocent human being is murder. So, abortion is murder.

If a fetus is not a human life, when does it "become" human? What constitutes this "becoming a human"? Not until after birth? When it has a certain amount of body parts in the womb?

Here's a scenario that I ran across on facebook which I believe sums up the abortion issue nicely:

A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said: 'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together. So the doctor said: 'Ok and what do you want me to do?' She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.'

The doctor then thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.' She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request. Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms. The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child! 'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.' The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He then convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb. The crime is the same!

What about John the Baptist meeting Jesus both in the womb and Isa. 44:2?

here is what i don't get: why are christians so against abortion when an aborted child, according to your beliefs, will go straight to heaven. but if that child is born/raised in this world then there is a chance it will go to hell. so...do you really care about the child or not?

cuz allowing it to be born risks it suffering for eternity in hell whil abortion sends it straight to heaven...so what exactly is the problem with abortion?? lol just cuz it defies "gods will"?

well i would hope that the eternal well being of the child would be higher on your priority list than "gods will"

i'm not saying everyone should get abortions, i'm just saying i don't see why christians have such a problem with it if they really care so much about the child like they claim to...

Yes. If it has a heartbeat it is considered a living thing. Abortion is murder.

Oh, I know. I suppose I was being the devil's advocate/tongue in cheek. I believe human life begins at conception. For those who don't, I was curious as to when a fetus "becomes a human". ;)

well i think people needlessly going to hell for trivial things like not following god and stealing some bubblegum (and not repenting for it) is very sad and selfish of both god and his followers.

i mean you can be a perfectly nice, reasonably moral person but if you dont accept jesus you go to hell. sounds like gods desire to be praised by us is a bit selfish (understatement)

and then he is suppose to "love" us? sounds more like he just loves himself.

And then you have a slippery slope ...next will be newborns, then the aged, then the handicap, then the 'freakazoids', then we have Nazi Germany all over again.

People don't go to hell for the nitpicky things they do, they go to hell for not receiving the only RESCUE God has provided through Him becoming man and dying the death we deserve and conquering Death, Hell and the Devil plus rising from the dead the 3rd day putting His Seal on the whole matter.

He raises a good point. If all dead babies go to heaven, why should we let them live any longer? For us it's still murder, but for the ungodly who are head to hell anyway... aren't they just doing the evangelist a service?

It is best to leave it be to God. He will save who he wants, and he will not save whom he does not want to.

Amazing how self-centered and even narcissistic your god seems.

see what he did there? he made HIMSELF the only way to heaven. you cant get to heaven on good deeds or a good life. that is not what god really wants.

god just wants to be praised.

i know some people like that...i cant stand them lol
