being formed in the womb, gives absolutely no creedence to the belief of life at conception. Everything created by God is fearfully and wonderfully made if one takes that view. yet I dont see people up in arms over deforestation or endangered animals. If life begins at birth then you are murdering nothing.
Everything God has created is wonderful. You are correct, but the mentioned passage is specifically talking about man, The translation of "wonderfully" in Hebrew actually means "set apart" from the rest of creation. Meaning that man was the greatest of all he created.
As far as the argument about hurting trees and animals while God does not condone destruction of the planet or animal cruelty he did give us dominion over all the animals including the right to kill fo food.
We are also to care for animals as well.
Proverbs 12:10 says A righteous man cares for the needs of his animals. Exodus 21 says if an animal is a threat then it should be put to death.
One interesting thing is though is that out of all of the animals mentioned in the bible very few if any of the passages refer to them as pets or domesticated animals. Dogs are mentioned 40 times in the bible and not once were they looked at as a pet. They were wild and considered beasts and normally dangerous. They weren't cute little poodles they fit in a pouch.
What few references there are about dogs where they are not considered beasts is when the scriptures talk about them as being work dogs for herding, and hunting.
There is also no mention of cats in the bible.
Anyway... the fact that MAN is the one that domesticated animals is one reason why pro-lifers don't regard them as significant as humans. God doesn't even hold them to the same importance as us. So for anyone to compare an animal or even hold it to a higher standard than humans is not even biblical.
