Of course God gives grace to all in the sense of Matthew 5:45, Acts 14:17, Job 21:7-16. Only the elect get SAVING grace.

No such thing as saving grace,

there is saving faith.. But grace is given to all..But only those who have faith will be saved.

Those who believe are not condemned, Those who do not believe are condemned already.

Not those who are given saving grace..

There is no such thing as unwillful sin. I don;t know where this false idea came from. Unless people want to excuse there own sin.. sin is sin is sin. stop excusing it
!

[h=3]1 John 3:4-9[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]Sin and the Child of God[/h][SUP]4 [/SUP]Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. [SUP]8 [/SUP]He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

The Bible does not say believers will have sinless perfection but clearly they do not have to be in bondage to willful sin. it is IF we sin not when.

Amen, Scripture is clear on this.. why would we think otherwise?

So God knows who people are thousands, possibly millions of years in advance, He knows them by name, but he is incapable of knowing whether or not that person will say yes or no to his gospel?

This makes no sense
.

God knows who will receive salvation because He chose them from before the beginning of time, but not because He saw that they would choose Him.

The Bible says it is BY GRACE through faith. God's grace is the ONLY reason one gets saving faith.

God knows who will receive salvation because He chose them from before the beginning of time, but not because He saw that they would choose Him.

So he can know you, but can;t know you chose?

sorry, I am not buying it, If he knows one thing, he can know another..

God is not a respecter of persons. He loves ALL his creation, Thus he offers them all salvation. To do otherwise would make God a liar in saying he is a God of love.

Scripture is clear. He elected those to be saved through the gospel. what is the gospel? He who believes will not be condemned.

Thus he elected those based on who would believe,

The Bible says it is BY GRACE through faith. God's grace is the ONLY reason one gets saving faith.

Grace means unmerited.

No one has merited salvation. thus according to grace, everyone can be saved. since no one merits it

We are saved by faith, not works.. thus faith is the means by which grace applies to us,, Not the other way around.

Yep. Just like I believed in the character of God before he did anything (Justified me, made me alive in him or regenerated me, and gave me the spirit as a guarantee.

Not quite. God predestined you for salvation before any of that.

No, we do not act on faith, that would be a salvation of works..We are saved by Gods work before we have the ability to ACT on the faith we have in him.

Your confusing me first you say we can not earn salvation. now your saying we do earn salvation??

God imputes righteousness to us, regenerates us, gives us faith. If it is saving faith it acts or it is not saving faith. We act because we are saved not to earn salvation.

God imputes righteousness to us, regenerates us, gives us faith. If it is saving faith it acts or it is not saving faith. We act because we are saved not to earn salvation.

Once Again, I did not earn salvation. To earn salvation I have to work to earn it.

God says we are saved by faith. He said we are justified by faith. He said we are not condemned because we believe, He says we were sealed by the HS because we trusted him.

God did the work. I can;t take credit for trusting God..

Stop listening to isms. and start looking at reality my friend, You can not take credit for chosing to trust God and God alone based on his promise and his promise alone which is based on his work and his work alone

YES!!! That is why He sent Jesus to redeemed them with His precious blood.

Jesus made the general call for repentance to all sinners. He clearly says that only these could come which were the elect:
John 6:37

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]37[/SUP]All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
All those that the Father gives me. . . the one who comes to me. . . .come to him by faith.
John 6:44

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]44 [/SUP]No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:65-66

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]65 [/SUP]And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”

[SUP]66 [/SUP]From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
How does the Father draw. . .How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher. . . So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. . . .

We are all sinners in one way or another, to the point where God had to send His son to die to free us from our sins. There is not one of us here that can say we have never sinned and God still loves us. He hates our sins but never us. So basically, hate the sin not the sinner or the other way round love the sinner not the sin.

The Bible says it is BY GRACE through faith. God's grace is the ONLY reason one gets saving faith.

dont get lost with those two words the text mentions "gift" twice
do you know what a gift is?
Slamdunk salvation is not a gift!

Read grace and faith in relation to it being a gift not anything that makes for boasting

I am now translating directly from the Greek:
"For thus loved God the world, that the son, the unique one, He gave, that everyone believing in him may not perish but have life eternal."
I've got my Greek New Testament and I know Greek. Careful what you throw out here.

In the Greek it reads For God loved the world SO he gave.... Do not leave out the operative word "BELIEVE". Only the elect will from all over the world.
The world hated and still hates Jesus and His elect saints. John 15:18-21. Here is what John 3:16 is saying about the world. It says those who believe and the world is in reference to all those gentiles who through Christ's sacrifice and had been elect would now be brought in to the Kingdom. He obviously did not mean the whole world would be saved.
Revelation 5:9-10

New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And have made us[SUP][a][/SUP] kings[SUP][b][/SUP] and priests to our God;
And we[SUP][c][/SUP] shall reign on the earth.”

Does God love the sinner ?

John 3:16

King James Version (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He does not Love what they are doing. But He does love them . He wants them to turn from their wicked ways Believe upon Christ , be converted and repent of their sins in Christ name change their life, and be baptized , seeking the LORD ; and doing His will all their life.

2 Peter 3:9

King James Version (KJV)

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

God shows to "all" that He is good and love. But that doesn't mean He loves "all" equally the same. Nor that He shows mercy to "all" equally the same.

He loves Jacob (His treasure), He hates Esau/Edom (the reprobate).

Num.23

[21] He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

Ps.5

[5] The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
[6] Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Ps.135

[3] Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.
[4] For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

Jer.31

[1] At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.
[2] Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
[3] The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
[4] Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.

Mal.1

[1] The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
[2] I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
[3] And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
[4] Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.

Rom.9

[13] As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
[14] What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
[15] For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
[16] So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

1. God loves Isreal, He hated Edom

lets get to the reality of what God said in micah, and out of the horribly mistranslated Quote paul made of this OT saying in romans.

2. Hate does not always mean hate in the literal sense, In hebrew, Hate may mean love less.

If I love two people but one more than the other, in the hebrew I would say I love one and hate the other, even though I do not literally hate them.

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Ro 9:13: God did not hate Esau and love Jacob while they were still in their mother's womb. He did choose Jacob over Esau as the inheritor of Abraham's blessing before they were born, but Esau could have walked with God and have been blessed by God if he had chosen to do so.

Mal 1:2-3 says, "I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau." This was written in approximately 557-525 B.C., thousands of years after the birth of Esau and Jacob, so this is not speaking of God hating Esau at birth. There is no mention in Scripture that God hated the individual Esau. This reference to Esau was referring to the nation of Edom (Esau's descendants) in the same way that the term Israel often referred to the entire nation of Israel, not the individual (Ge 32:28). God was saying that He had rejected the nation of Edom and had chosen the nation of Israel.

Paul quoted from Malachi, not to show that God hated Esau and loved Jacob while they were still in their mother's womb, but rather to confirm that the choice God made before they were born, based on His foreknowledge (Ro 8:29), was the right choice. Jacob went on to become a mighty man of God, and Esau despised the things of God. God's choice of Jacob didn't cause this to happen. This quotation from Malachi simply confirms that God's foreknowledge was accurate.

Jacob was called to a higher position than his brother, Esau, before they were born, but that does not display any rejection of Esau on God's part. That is comparable to God choosing certain people to be pastors while others are called to be deacons. The deacons are not inferior to the pastors. They are simply called to different positions. Jacob and Esau were called to different positions before they had done any good or evil, to illustrate that election was not based on performance but choice.

Horrible mistranslated? You've been there before...Is there any translator who didn't use "hate" but used "loved less"? They were all wrong? It takes some reworking of the hebrew to render it like you want to. Does it apply in the context of Mal.1? And what's the problem with the word hate? God is not allowed to hate? This aside, yes, there surely is a difference in relation, which my post made clear. God doesn't have the same relation to the edomites as He has to the israelites. That's the bottom line.

God doesn't relate to His people and the world the same wise. He didn't do the same thing for all those billions of people who perished in the flood as He did for Noah and His family of eight persons. He didn't do the same thing for Pharao and the egyptians as He did for Moses, Aaron and the israelites. He didn't do the same thing for the amalekites as He did for the israelites. He didn't do the same thing for the goats, dogs and hogs as He did for His sheep.

There is a difference as how to God deals with people that are in His covenant and those whom are outside same.

What will you say about this scripture?

Please read the OP and look up the scripture given because you apparently did not before you gave your opinion.
