Dude! You are always cracking me up man! Is it possible to make a cob canoe? I have this feeling that you would be one of the most fun people to camp with. We should plan some kind of CC Retreat. We could craft cob houses to live in and go canooing in our crafted cob canoes! Can you imagine what it would be like to have a CC Retreat and actually meet some of the people here in person? Oh man, that would be a riot. lol

It would be COB-TASTIC! lol I dunno why I always feel like poo the next morning from camping out. No matter what,my sleeping bag is always wet & my spine is all crazy & gimpified! lol

there were mud slides along the steam I went on and people were doing cannon balls onto the water .. here in Oklahoma we have two really fun races .. The Oklahoma mud run .. Yes all mud courses
And the Oklahoma color run

Seriously though, I've toyed with trying to organize some sort of CC-CSF-IRL event (Christian Chat- Christian Singles Forum- In Real Life).
I'm selfish enough to point out that Okiehoma is probably about as good a destination as any for it, being centrally located and all. I'd probably schedule it for the 2 weeks this summer my kids go to Camp Granny (me mum's house). Maybe just a weekend/3 day weekend thing since most ppl here do have a life, job, or kids that their family would not want dumped with them for more than a weekend. If I did try to organize it (and I'm not saying I will), do you think I would really have any takers? Since Powemm is also kinna local, she might even get thrown under the bus to help organize a little (or just make sure it's not SeatBelt's Weird Weekend Extravaganza... though that may have its own appeal, too).

Ya'll should organize a CC-CSF 3-day rafting trip down the Green River.

Because that is located closer to me. And rafting + camping?

I'm not sure though that a cob canoe would hold up in the water. After all mud might dissipate rather quickly, if overly saturated.

Oklahoma is probably at least an 8 hour drive for me, so it's good. LA and AK are states that are closer, and are good places as well for camping. Especially if you go to Crater of Diamonds, and go gem hunting. That is so fun.

I tend to over-think things a lot.

Since the OP got me thinking, there are many things I might say that probably aren't very interesting, although then again, what I may not consider interesting of myself, may be of interest to another, and one that I may consider interesting of myself, may indeed not be of any interest to others...so it seems somewhat of a broad statement. So that's what was going through my head while trying to figure out what to say, so I decided to say over-thinking. :eek:

Anyway, I'm new around here and this is my first post, so perhaps that's a bit more interesting..hello! :)

WELCOME!!!!!!! Hey glad you've joined us .. We are talking about God, ice cream, swimming, getting muddy , canoes , cob houses, and bugs .. I think pretty much anything goes s in this thread . That makes everything about everyone interesting !! So dive bomb it !!

I want to do more than just have fun .. I want there to be a purpose , to be driven " towards" something.. I want to be part of something bigger.. I can go down the street to party ..
I'm talking about building something worthwhile for everyone who wants to be a part of it , take care of it as well as provide their talents in it .. That's where I want to go .. But I'm all in for fellowship as well...and gatherings .. thought I'd just throw both comments in together .. we could just do a huge river rafting party with campin or canoeing .. I can tell you right now I'll be camping and grilling outside wherever I go.. I have extra tents too if anyone needs one. I think I have three total..

Seatbelt, Powmm, is there a great camping place close to Bonham, TX? Or would it be better near OKC.
