I am interested to see this illustration further expanded. It is interesting that faith is a hedge in this picture. Hedges grow and that platform isn't particularly tall.

I have an image in mind with a sort of deer stand within the hedge...I don't think man's attempts are error, but that it must be understood within the hedge. If one steps outside the hedge the utility is extremely limited (arguably non-existent) Consider the faith vs sight dichotomy.

Another thing about the hedge. Left alone it will grow to obscure the platform entirely.

Consequently if the platform is raised too high structurally it needs a firmer foundation.

Hey brother, isn't this picture sort of saying that you need a theology degree to better understand faith?

It is art, which means it could mean different things to different people. I personally believe it is more of a heart issue than intellectual. A strong faith doesn't need a theology degree. But also a theology degree without faith is useless.
