I think in Matthew 7:23 Jesus Himself tells us what is the problem. He said they were practicing “lawlessness”. That means that they had no authority or “law” from God for at least some of the things they were doing. Perhaps their plan of salvation was not according to God’s laws or word; it...

I must disagree. Just “feeling” and “thinking” you are saved is not reliable. Just read about those “believers” in Matthew 7. THEY thought they were saved, too. They were “active” in their faith. They claimed to have prophesied in the name of Jesus and said they had cast out devils and done...

The kingdom of God is All of the saved people and they are all in His church. See Acts 2:47…”and the Lord ( Jesus) added to the church those who were being saved.” The kingdom is made up Of people. We call it the universal church as opposed to local congregations of churches here on earth...

The scriptures do not make such a distinction as you are making. No where does Paul ever divide the Old law of Moses into “ceremonial”, “vertical” or any other division. The law is always spoken of as a whole. You are ASSUMMING that in order to protect your doctrine; but it is not in the...

More likely, the reference is to Isaiah 64:8 that says, Oh Lord,…we are the clay and you are the potter. We are all the work of your hand.” Or, Jeremiah 18, “…can I not do with you as this potter does? declares the Lord. Like clay in the potters hand, so are you in my hand. “

Galations 4 says that the Old Testament law that came from Mt Sinai was a “law of BONDAGE.” Chapter 5:1 Paul asked them, “ Why do you want to be entangled again in a yoke of BOBDAGE?” He is talking about the WHOLE law of Moses—all that came from Mt Sinai. Circumcision is just being used as a...

I just want to address 3 things here. 1) of course Jesus observed the Sabbath. Jesus was born a Jew under that old law of Moses. There WAS NO OTHER LAW (for Jews) TO KEEP AT THAT TIME. Jesus kept Passover, was circumcised the 8th day, and kept the Sabbath. That was the law He lived under...

Until you understand the difference between the Old Jewish law given by Moses on Mt. Sinai, and the new law of Christ called the law of faith in Romans 3:27, you may arrive at wrong conclusions about such issues as Sabbaths, tithing, and even God’s plan of salvation. Jesus was born a Jew. That...

Paul said in 1 Cor. 2:16 “We have THE MIND OF CHRIST.” WHERE? In the New Tesrament. In the last “will” and Testament of Jesus. Paul goes on to say, “the things that I write to you are the COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD.” 1 Cor. 14:37. Do you think Paul is only talking about the book of...

If my daughter came to me and said she had doubts about the veracity of the Bible and whether Or not God was real, My first answer would be, “ if you can answer me 3 questions, then I might consider joining you.” First question: “ How do you explain the fulfillment of PROPHECY in the...

LUKE 24:47-48, “And that REPENTANCE and REMISSION OF SINS shouid be preached IN HIS NAME, to ALL NATIONS, BEGINNING at JERUSALEM. …I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with POWER from on high.” Fast forward to Acts 2. It’s the...

God created the ordinances and laws of the Old testament. They were HIS creation and HIS laws. If He created them, He can also CHANGE THEM. And He has. He says so in Hebrews 7:12. The law has been CHANGED! He illustrates this fact by pointing out that Jesus is our HIGH PRIEST. And in...

Tithing was a command and practice under the Old Testament law of Moses. Christ came and brought a NEW covenant (Hebrews 7:22), with NEW laws, and commandments. He United Jews and Gentiles under ONE COVENANT. The point of Romans 7. applies to marriage between a husband and wife but it is...

Yes, Really. Are you still looking for someone to fulfill Isaiah 53, too?

That prophecy has already been fulfilled a long time ago. It does not apply to present day Israel. That’s like taking the prophecies about Christ in the Old Testament and expecting another Savior to come. All has been fulfilled. You are taking Ezekiel completely out of its CONTEX. Ezekiel...
