Does a Christian in the USA have an obligation to surrender weapons to an oppressive government?

He didn't win his case it was a mistrial because the feds didn't disclose some of the surveillance cameras they had put up. He had lost 28 years of cases and owed millions in fines. He is still illegally grazing on federal land without paying the grazing fees - still a thief. Trump pardoned him...

I know people who went there from a thousand miles away, personally, and I know their intentions.

Does a Christian in the USA have an obligation to surrender weapons to an oppressive government?

I remember that. That man was in the wrong. He had been illegally grazing his cattle on land that didn't belong to him for a really long time. For over 20 years he had been refusing court orders and ignoring fines. Stealing. Lawless. Iniquity. All those people who flocked there hoping to shoot...

Does a Christian in the USA have an obligation to surrender weapons to an oppressive government?

Sure. But the people who start threads like this are talking about overthrowing their own governments, not about being conscripted soldiers. Their rationale is that they expect and desire to be involved in a civil war. There's no movement to disarm the populace. There are movements to enforce...

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then [I saw] the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received [his] mark on their foreheads...

Warning to Christians: Totally Refuse COVID Vaccines

what qualifies a *former* consulting psychiatrist ((not even a guy with a real practice)) to comment on epidemiology? isn't this one of the people who says we all need to just have more sex and there should be no such thing as guilt?

Warning to Christians: Totally Refuse COVID Vaccines

0.00008% chance of getting a blood clot from J&J vaccine, and it's not even yet established that the clots have anything to do with the vaccine. maybe 50 Americans could die if every one of us got this shot. on the other hand, covid has a ~ 1 or 2% fatality rate. 4 million Americans could die...

Does a Christian in the USA have an obligation to surrender weapons to an oppressive government?

i strongly suspect he is saved.. only John records his name, which is Hebrew and means 'my king' - so i imagine John met him. only Luke, who most likely is giving Peter's account, mentions that he was healed. in the commotion maybe only Peter saw it? but here's an Israelite, named 'my king'...

"provide for" here does not mean "kill others on behalf of" look at the context. it's about food and shelter. if you are murdering people for food and shelter i think you're doing something wrong.

God's sovereignty over life and death

i suspect a lot of the people here who spend so much time hating what they call "calvinism" are actually hating hypercalvinism but calling it by the wrong name.
