I'm a retired/disabled 62 year old female who was not ready to leave not only the work I loved (30 years with CPS) but living my life as I knew it. Diagnosed with MS at age 57 my world was turned every way imaginable. I think I'm just now adjusting to my new reality. And the reality is, I cannot drive (I gave up the privilege in 2018) nor handle any monies. I used to pay agencies that helped with the children in a CPS case, a whole of dates, changes in rates, etc. Now, my husband has to be my payee. That was a tough one. I've lost so much independence, but I like to think I gained so much too as I'm able to somewhat get around and am learning new hobbies. I want so much to learn how to be strong in my faith. I so envy those who have the unshakable strength to deal with anything.
