One of the signs I think will be that the End is neigh, is that there will be a generation or generations completely immune to the Gospel of Christ, they will be so conditioned in the Antichrist's Doctrine, the "preaching the gospel to all nations and then the end will come," (Matthew 24:14)...

A great example is a movie called Ivanhoe with Sam Neil and Olvia Hussey. In it Ivanhoe has to reject Rebecca despite their chemistry because she is not a Christian. He has to make the hard choice to love another woman who shares his faith, because he knows it won't work.
