Salvation and living life as Christ wants us to are different issues. Salvation is once and for all. Living a life pleasing to our Lord is a daily challenge and can be held up only through faith, perseverance and growing in grace and maturity made possible only through yielding to the Holy...

Watched a movie on Prime Video last night called "The last full measure." It was a perfect example of a person (medic) who laid down his life for over 60 people. He chose to go where he did not have to go. He was a hero of the Vietnam War. It took 30 years for those people whose lives he...

To lay down one's life for another is awesome. To lay down one's life for all mankind is saving and glorious.

John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the...

Well the Lord already knows if we are sincere whenever we publicly accept Him and go through the process of baptism. So, He knows who is truly asking for salvation and who is (Pharisees) doing such for show. There are those just like that group who think because they go through the motions...

Chester, my living the christian life was not "tacked" on as you put it. If you read that sentence you would have understood it to say "as a result of our salvation" we would most certainly enter into that life style because we are "saved" and there is my point.

Becoming saved through the gift provided by God Almighty who gave His only begotten Son in order the save the souls of His Creation is not complicated nor are there certain laws, formulas, procedures, etc to follow. The Lord made it simple but He will inspect the heart of anyone who comes to Him...

I looked at Chester's words and saw what he said. The "salvation" part was the main point in my original post. Chester speaks of not liking the "all we need to" which as far as salvation goes, faith in Jesus Christ is the "all we need for accepting Jesus whom as given the "grace" for us to be...
