I grew up in a strong Christian family, both grandfathers were ministers.I was a combat medic in the military. I took up hiking on the Appalachian Trail after retiring from the military and had a pilgrimage of sorts, hiking over 15,000 trail miles, through severe storms, encounters with rattlesnakes and bears, all seeking a closer walk with my Master. I’m now grounded in my belief, and “not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.” I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my faith.

I always known that Christ was my Saviour; but I have looked upon Him as an external Saviour, one who did a saving work for me from outside, as it were; one who was ready to come close alongside and stay by me, helping me in all that I needed, giving me power and strength and salvation. But now I know something better than that. At last I realize that Jesus Christ is actually and literally within me; and even more than that: that He has given Himself to be my very life, taking me into union with Himself...Galatians 2:20
