Today, as I waited for the walk light to change, I noticed an elderly lady also waiting for the crosswalk light. When the light changed I stepped into the crosswalk and looked back to see the elderly lady moving slowly toward the crosswalk. I went back to the sidewalk and held out my arm. She smiled and took my arm and we walked slowly across the street inside the crosswalk. Halfway across I said "You see, this way I can make it across the street". She laughed and we continued. When we reached the other side of the street, she grabbed my hands, shook them and thanked me. I said "May God bless you".
