I know I do not always remember to do this, but in all things we should give God the Glory. So often I hear people talk about what "they" did. Some accomplishment that "they" achieved. How hard "they" worked, studied, sacrificed to accomplish this accomplishment "they" speak of.

Yet, I do not often hear them say: "To God be the Glory, for without Him, I can do nothing."

Ephesians 5:20 says:

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

I have to strive to remember that without Him I am nothing, and I can do nothing. It is He that deserves the Glory for anything I do, for, in truth, I do nothing, it is He within that achieves the accomplishments in my life.

God bless and keep you and yours this day, and to God be the Glory!

Amen and amen. That is sooooooo true. EVERY good thing comes from above, the Bible says our hearts are desparately wicked-until we accept who Jesus is and what He has done for us He has done for us. I thank the Father that He sent His SON. When Jesus ascended, He sent Holy Spirit to help change us. Bless the LORD, O my sould and all that is within me bless His holy name!!!

YES - Every good thing in me is part of His nature. Every act I do that is fruitful is only His using me. Every good work is only His motivation and power.

Do you hear us Lord!? We give you all the glory!

Romans 8:14 .) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 .) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 .) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 .) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Isaiah 58:6 .) Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 .) Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 .) Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
9 .) Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 .) And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 .) And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 .) And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
13 .) If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 .) Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

13 .) If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Love how God explains here what it means to honor sabbath and it surely is not meant for only one day per week but for life! It was one day per week until His holy day dawned upon us ("people that walked in darkness, upon them hath the light shined").

Matthew 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake (=honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words) shall find it.

Yet, I do not often hear them say: "To God be the Glory, for without Him, I can do nothing."
I heard people actually do it mechanically, kinda like superstitiously, so God would not take away what they have or something :confused:
It sounds so wrong when the heart is not in it. It has to be from the heart and the true deep realization of this fact to count I believe.

1 Peter 4:11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:6 .) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 .) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
