I am so excited for this!! I am not sure why, but I am fascinated with the moon and stars lately, weather patterns, clouds and all too. Maybe I am just "looking up" a lot more lately. :p

Now watch out for those people who are going to be saying that this Super moon is a sign that it's the end of the world :D

Yes, the Supermoon event is tomorrow night. Both my sons (one here in Texas and one in Nevada) took photos of the nearly-full moon tonight. My oldest son in NV used a Canon 5D Mark III with an extender to double the zoom and got the image below. He emailed a copy to me and it blew me away!!! :D

I'll tell ya what, if my husband was still dwelling on this earth, he would be completely ecstatic at my son's photo. He adored the moon and had a huge lunar map on the wall in his den. It showed all the geographical formations and names of the seas, mountains, craters, etc. and he would try to get me to remember them all. LOL! We had so much fun trying to gaze at the full moon thru his telescope. Because of the earth's rotation the moon keeps floating out of view in the lens, so we had to keep adjusting the telescope. We'd be laughing our heads off pushing each other out of the way so we could take a turn looking at the full moon. ;) LOL

i saw the moon last night after church. of course, it wasn't at the peak, but it was still beautiful!

my goal was to see it this morning since the peak would be right when the office opened. sadly, i couldn't find mr. moon!! >_< i was talking to a patient about it, and she said she saw it during her morning walk, and mr. moon was at a different location. bah! humbug! lol
