Okay, so I basically took this test of a 100 questions online asking questions and analyzing what specific strengths and weaknesses I have in my faith walk and where I feel God is leading me... I mean I don't really believe that all of these results are necessarily "grounded" or clear cut of what it says in scripture but I DO believe that the questions were engaging and had me thinking about where I was in my walk and where God has been leading me recently. If you are bored and oblivious like me, this quiz may open some doors for you in terms of what you may need to explore or where to have God strengthen you in your walk.

Adult Spiritual Gifts Test

My three top results:

Pastoring
This is the spiritual gift where the Spirit enables certain Christians to preach and teach the Word of God and to take responsibility for the spiritual welfare of a body of believers.

  • Protector of the flock
  • Guides believers to follow Jesus

Mercy
The Holy Spirit gives the spiritual gift of mercy to some in the church to love and assist those who are suffering, and walk with them until The Lord allows their burden to be lifted.

  • Compassionate
  • Discern needs quickly

Leadership
The Holy Spirit gives the spiritual gift of leadership to some in the church to care for God’s people and lead them into deeper relationship with Christ and each other.

  • Cares for others
  • Visionary

I was not surprised at the results of this test. Here are my top 3:

Exhortation
The Spirit of God gives this gift to people in the church to strengthen and encourage those who are wavering in their faith.

  • Encouragers
  • Builds others up
[h=3]Giving
The Holy Spirit imparts this gift to some in the church to meet the various needs of the church and its ministries, missionaries, or of people who do not have the means to provide fully for themselves.
[/h]
  • Good stewards
  • Cheerfully and joyfully give

[h=3]Mercy [/h]The Holy Spirit gives the spiritual gift of mercy to some in the church to love and assist those who are suffering, and walk with them until The Lord allows their burden to be lifted.

  • Compassionate
  • Discern needs quickly

The Holy Spirit gives the gift of discernment to enable certain Christians to clearly recognize and distinguish between the influence of God, Satan, the world, and the flesh in a given situation.

  • Quick judge of character
  • Warns of false teaching
  • [h=3]Fa = Faith[/h]
The Holy Spirit distributes this gift to some in the church to encourage and build up the church in her confidence in God.
    • Trusts God in all things
    • Expect God to move
    • [h=3]Se = Serving[/h]
The Holy Spirit endows some believers with this gift to fill the many gaps of ministry and meet the needs of the church as it fulfills the Great Commission.
      • Love to help out
      • Do not need the "spotlight"

Wow!

Until now, the only one I answered with 5 is this (number 40):

[h=4]40. I like to be in the background and have no need of recognition for my service in the church.[/h]
I´m afraid I´m too detached and unconcerned...

It could mean I´m bound to clean the dust of benches.

:(

Hhm!

I´m excited! I´m not trying to lie. At least, my case is not hopeless:

  • 49. I retain most of what I learn and can recall it quickly when the need arises.

Honestly!

That test deserves to be widespread! It´d give light on those areas we thought we had LIGHT.

It gave me a long to pull my life back to those days I served in the Church, but I don´t want to be in the situation I´m now.

P.S.

DEAR GOD:

See all of these who try to get the BEST possible answer...

Help us grow in the CORRECT direction and help us to be in the possition YOU WANT US -all- to be.

Amén! :)

Perhaps the TEST is thought to be a challenging thing to help people rehearse (and review) details unconsidered, hidden or forgotten...

@ posthuman

How you rate this: [h=4]50. I can readily identify leaders and love to help them grow in their gifts and abilities.[/h]
There was a time I identified them quickly, but I saw love lacked, except to show up as "leaders".

I think some people let their spiritual gifts go to their heads.

Di = Discernment

Fa = Faith

Te = Teaching ................... BUT .............Ad - Administrations was almost ( 1 point) a tie........and that is where I serve best in my opinion....not in Teaching.........although I used to lead Wednesday Night Bible Study Meetings...........Still, my Administrative skills are my strong point in my opinion.........everything was within 3 or 4 points..........so I wonder what the "margin of error" is for this test?

Each SHOULD know marging of ERRORS.

Now I know my weak areas. The test is intended to THINK things over. I will not say: "You bought your ticket to hell" (It would be sadly discouraging).

I like it though!

Now I know what I´m going to pray (I need a church, more than the place were I am).

PS

Many would rank between that rate: "everything was within 3 or 4 points" These were mine, too.

With the exception of not giving money to the Church.

Mine were around these: your spiritual gifts are Faith (Fa), Knowledge (Kn), and Wisdom (Wi).

I poked them on FB to help translate their flags into Spanish. ;)
