Just want to throw this out at the beginning....

For those who would say we shouldn't celebrate the Biblical Feast days because we're not commanded to in the New Testament,

then they should all agree that we shouldn't celebrate christmas and easter.

Christmas basically is just for money and presents. It doesn't have the traditions at all.

I agree, Nicee.. Christmas most certainly has lost it's original meaning. For many, all they want is the money and presents, as you said.. It's the "bigger means better so gimme gimme gimme" mentality that alot of people have at that time of year. Personally, I would not care one bit if I did'nt receive any presents--I just look at it like "oh great, more useless stuff to clog up my house." LOL. :) I hardly have any belongings in my house to begin with, but you know what I mean..useless trinkets to set on a shelf and gather dust..

Christmas really is a commercial holiday. So sad to see it has lost it's original meaning for so many people who celebrate it in all the wrong ways.

I guess it depends on what you think the "original" meaning of christmas was. The original meaning wasn't so great to begin with.

It depends on what you make it to be. For us it is strictly the celebration of the birth and Incarnation of our Lord.

Most have said in 'that' post that Biblical Feast Days are fine...not just mandatory for the Christian.

For me Christmas is day when you're celebrating Holy Spirit, Christ, born and saving us from unending bound of sin by sacrificing Himself on the cross. It's remind me how hard that struggle to break out from the darkness that covering this world since the Fall of Adam and Eve to sin.

And one more thing, did you think Jesus Christ was happy when you're celebrating His Birthday? Absolutely yes. You're remember Him, idolize Him, last wanted to be like Him, Holy and winner from death realm that raised to Heaven.
But beside of that what is the good point you got from Christmas? Changes in Your Life to His Holy reside.

God sees our heart, rather than just what we do. But God knows that what we do is a reflection of our heart. The part of Christmas as a celebration of Christ is seen by the Lord.

The problem is that God gave us specific instructions about keeping certain celebrations, and we use our man made ones to cancel the ones given in scripture. Holidays decided by men have become very contaminated by the world, the ones God gave us remain relatively pure.

If we got rid of our traditions of worship, now we would have nothing. It is sort of like we backed ourselves into a corner.

The same thing happened when Hebrews took their worship of God into Babylon. Their worship had been centered on the temple and the priests, so they had to make do until Ezra spearheaded a return to the Holy Land and read the lost Torah to them. We are making do without the God sponsored holidays, but I don't see how we could go back to God ordained holidays now. When Hezekiah destroyed Jezebel's temples to idols, it would be nothing to destroying our pile of Christmas decorations we have.

Not at all! I definitely agree that His birth was monumental and important. I'm just pointing out that we're not taught to celebrate it in Scripture. I do find it odd that there are those who will say we can't celebrate the Biblical Feast Days because they're not commanded in Scripture, but at the same time will celebrate christmas when that isn't commanded in Scripture.

While there are certainly some who would agree with your statement, I would disagree that "most" believe that way.

Just out of curiousity if we are celebrating pagen holidays and they are evil and worship of the devil and such does the same apply about celebrating our birthdays? I mean nowadays it seems we can say anything is evil or devil worship or comes from a pagen Origin. I mean next thing you know ppl will say having to many pets is evil
