The Power Of His Resurrection,

Paul is talking about emptying himself from his life as a
Pharisee. He considers all he ever knew, all he ever did
as garbage. It seems he is very severe in his plunge from
the old law into the quest of gaining Christ. It all seems to
line up with his later themes of really having to change our
existing life by giving ourselves completely to Christ. I am
not saying mine was ever perfect, nor do I think it is now. I
do believe though that I have come a very long way. I can
fully understand what Paul is getting across to us. It is an
all or nothing proposition. It is either all in or all out there
is no middle ground. Does that mean that at the snap of
our fingers, our life is as near to God as it will be. What it
is though is making a firm commitment to be what we need
to be and strictly follow that journey. Any choice between
the flesh and the Spirit should always default to the Spirit.

It's a life long process/fight/race.........

Jesus said:
Matthew 24:9) Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10) And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11) And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12) And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13) But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14)And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

And, again..........

Revelation 3:10) Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11) Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12) Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

And these Scriptures:

Romans 2:6/7

Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Revelation 2:10) Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

James 1:12.......James 5:11......Hebrews 3:14........2 Timothy 4:7...........1 Timothy 4:1........Romans 15:4.......2 Peter 2:20....22

1 Peter 2:20.....Hebrews 12:1-3..........Hebrews 10:23........

and many, many more........

Yet, some will still deny.......
