Which reminds me, on Swedish television (svt.se), they’ve got a series that is criticizing transgender activists, transkriget (roughly translates to the transgender war).
Well... looks like I have to get serious again.

Transgenders don't need criticism, they need genuine psychological help.
However, now that the issue have moved from psychology to politics... that isn't possible.
Now that it's political, the psychological help isn't allowed, and criticism on political and cultural grounds is a societal necessity.

It's terrible when people with genuine problems are turned, by their own faction, into a useful tool to be used and discarded.

Wow... yeah... we really need to get back on topic.

I think it’s some sort of running away from something they have experienced at an early stage of their lives. Maybe traumatic experiences.

You should watch it. I don’t know whether it’s got subtitles or not, but the point is that many people regret their decision to alter their body, it’s a lot of health risks associated with it and bottom line…is it basically just like those people who get fillers.

Ah, well that may actually be useful.

I think most of the vocal de-transitioners are being removed from sight, and kicked off social media.

Young people really need a better grasp of the issues.

I think that’s slowly changing now. Over here in Europe, where I’m currently living, the stories from people regretting their decision are growing in numbers. I hadn’t been given this much attention until now, and that might have been because the public has not been aware of the dire consequences of transitioning. Critical voices have been cancelled up until recently. But the fact is that these people have been allowed to alter their bodies on the grounds of psychological reasons.

This whole conversation got way off topic.
But what you wrote above is really good news.
It's really important, and very hopeful, that de-transitioners are able to get media attention in Europe
It's very good news.

In recent times I am avidly reading English history, especially the Tudor and Stuart periods. I am appalled at the violence, killing, burning and torture that went on especially between Catholics and protestants. I am disgusted at how much was done by 'Christians' to anyone who didn't do things as they wanted. I want no association with it because I love peace.

I know it's nothing new, maybe I am naive, but I was not that well acquainted with these histories. What I am sure of now is I will not go to church nor ally myself with any denomination ever again.

I do believe in the Bible, in Jesus Christ and in the love of God. But I study and worship in private and will never allow anyone to control me nor will I argue or try to pressure anyone into believing as I do. So no, I won't evangelise, I won't knock on doors.

The Bible is available everywhere, whosoever wants to read it and follow Jesus can do so, or not. Each man's soul is their own responsibility. Yes give children the knowledge, give them the good example of living lovingly according to obedience to God, but no pressure.

Does anyone feel as I do? Especially if you are a reader of history?
bien in privacy with him worshipping studying just getting to know him this is a very good thing sometimes it requires that isolation with him apart from the noise.
yes I have read and understood this history and even my ancestors were brutally slaughtered by the catholic church and many churches have their deniminations and sects their own version of the truth.

However this is not a reason to not evangelize or go to church or be around other believers a light cannot shine if it is kept hidden and this should not make us slink back it should activate us.

If this is how things are and were then shouldn't we as ambassadors of Christ show the real thing? evangelizing is not going door to door and stuff it is simply going out where he calls you and speaking and teaching helping and encouraging showing the love and light of God when people say to you that you are not a normal Christian this is a good thing and not all are called to evangelize.

Consider what your calling is what gifts do you have and how can you use them to serve God and to help spread his kingdom take a breather and seek that still quiet place where peace resides the serrenity of his waters you have been burned so go to the water

just because someone calling themselves Christians did something, doesn't mean it's actually sanctioned in the bible.

English history has always been violent, though maybe just as bad as other peoples histories.

The whole catholic/protestant thing started with Martin Luther but he was not English, he was German. It was later that the british royals wanted to be the head of their church instead of the Pope and the Pope was like the emperor, who stood in place of Jesus, trying to be God. It was Henry the eighth who couldnt have an heir and wanted a divorce but church wouldnt give it to him so he resorted to beheading his wives instead.

But the big church split came way before with greek orthodox/roman catholic called 'The Great Schism' in 1054

Church history has always been tumultuous, though its often tried to politics, People who think they have power or divine right to rule tend to use violent force to make their rule known. In america they had witchhunts, in England it was mostly beheadings, hangings and burning at the stake.

Please keep in mind today most who say they are Christian are not truly Christian, we must be Spiritual, not carnal, in relationship, not holding to an outward form, as Jesus taught of this time before His coming again, these last few years there has been a flood of people around me who have become Spirit filled.
blessings:)
There are genuine Christians and there are "nominal" Christians. There are genuine believers and there are make believers.

That second group is getting smaller and smaller. The more unpopular Christianity gets, the easier it is to tell which are the real christians.

It could be that the number is the same or even greater than before, but there is simply greater revelation of the latter group due to persecution or some other factor.

Good point.

It is important..to find out about your gifts & calling.
