what I have found was He only did what He saw the Father do, He only said what He heard the Father say.

What the church needs is to return to the old Bible way.
It is not about pleasing the people, it is about just preaching the Gospel.
"Up grading" has lead to all the false teaching and entertaining that is called worship today.
Hmm... reminds me of a song.

Oh they tore the old country church down
Built a big new church way uptown
With a steeple so high
It reaches to the sky
And pride has stepped in
Where love should have been

Last verse:
There's nothing wrong with that church uptown
It's the members that let God down
If they'd humble themselves and pray
They would hear from God today
In that big new church way uptown

No, just get rid of all the man-made “programs.”

The Holy Spirit FOLLOWS the Word of God to perform It or bring It to pass or manifest It.

Just think, say and do God’s Word…by doing so, the Holy Spirit will be in an atmosphere or habitat to give LIFE to those that are there.(y)

Follow Jesus Christ- The Word of God…He ushers in God’s Holy Spirit.

When did I ever say that?!!!

Jesus did only what He saw and heard His Father say…. are we doing that??!!!

Are we intimate with the Father to hear what He is saying and see what He is doing???!!!

Didn’t Jesus ask the Father that He would make us ONE with Him and the Father??!!!

How can I or anyone that loves God not like the example Jesus set???!!!

The Example is LOVE.

I read your original post and all the things you suggested, none of which Jesus suggested or did as He taught.
Why not just do as Jesus did?

This is your post #120:

Why not just follow the example of Jesus.
There were times he set and conversed/discussed with many and times he sat and taught and many listened and learned.
There is evidence Paul followed this example.
What about when Jesus healed people, made a whip and drove out the money changers from the temple??!!!

Please read all the books of the Gospel- Mathew, Mark, Luke and John then discuss what Jesus Christ did.(y)

Aren’t we suppose to be talking about Jesus Christ??!! Why are you trying to talk about me???!!!
You are the one that brought up the healing and money changers.
I was saying we should conduct church service as Jesus did.
Not what you suggested in your first post.

Jesus did and said by the power of Holy Spirit as He received from John the Baptist, imparted to the 12, they to the 70, and on and on unto today.
Today I imparted to another at a local divine encounter He arranged.
Freely we were given, we are to freely give, no just talk about Him.
Thank you and blessings to you Lafftur, you handled the derail well.

I’ve been pondering......”church “ has to change....like a new computer gets “upgrades” all the time....

God wants to “upgrade” His church...

Imagine 1 or 2 acres of land and there are little huts/cabins/booths specifically for....Prayer, Healing, Sermon, Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Praise, Worship, Salvation, Food, Clothing, water baptism, Word of Prophecy, etc.

Church has to break out of the walls and all the structure and focus more on the needs of the people and how God wants to supply all the needs in one Sunday meeting....it’s NOT about just listen to the pastor and all eyes on the pastor.......it’s about God and all His people....

Our dear loving Father wants to love His children and meet our needs and pour His love in us and on us....healing us and drawing us close to Him!

Instead of coming to church and only getting a sermon, you can actually get all of the above!

What would an “Upgrade” of Church be to you?......:love:(y)
On a point I disagree. That is what you describe that it should look.
We have what God said it should look like, and yeah I know that Daniel's temple is mostly allegory. But we can draw some ideas from it.
There are churches that are focused on the people because we are following an age old tradition. We have pastoral and deacon care in my church, where our pastor does visit our shut ins and those in hospital and our elders regularly call the Church members that maybe havent shown up for a couple of services. We have pastor and elder visits and so on. With out degrading the regular Sunday service, we call it devine service, because communion.

You got your analogy inverted. The OLD way is the way a church should work, as a community of believers. Church-as-corporate-business is the NEW way.

Well... not really new, but the way things have been trending for some time.
True and very sad.

Southwest tennessee. Small towns, small churches, good people.
Yup the best!! My dad was a small town pastor of a small church for awhile growing up. I just found a new church Lynx. It is small and so far the ppl are so welcoming. It is just down the road, so thankful.

How close to Memphis?
I go to church in North West Mississippi.
Uh... Nothing personal, but I like to avoid pinpointing. Southwest Tennessee is as precise as I get online.

It's just a little United Pentecostal Church in a small town, with some good people and a great pastor who used to be a pothead. His past comes up a lot in his sermons.
