Hello everyone, I thought this would be a fun thread idea ^_^, share any artwork, animation, stories, or anything else relating to art in this thread or talk about what new art projects you're trying to do. I have actually found a free digital drawing program and currently working on a drawing. I don't know why, but I just like art where the heads aren't normal, like a person with a TV head or they have animal stuff, like antlers (No I'm not a furry). So right now I'm drawing a person with deer antlers, basically to get a a hold of this digital drawing program, and as practice because I haven't touched any digital drawing programs since I wanna say 2016, lol. I used to use Photoshop, but now since I don't feel like paying, I found something and it is legit really good from what I can tell, like a more complex Photoshop. Since my deer person is not ready yet, I'll just post a drawing I did awhile back of a original character I came up with: Mizuki (Yes I'm awful at naming anything, lol)

Love arts and craft and I love making miniature art. Here is a roast beef with gravy sauce in a miniature 1:12 scale and a charcuterie board with bread, wine and cheese.

Have you tried Gimp? It's a lot like photoshop and it's free. Here's a link to it. There's a link to the download at the top of the page:

I did it, I finished my Deer person, this was my first time using any digital drawing in a LONG time, I honestly do prefer not digital drawing, but I can definitely see the uses and easiness of digital drawing. This is the final drawing:

I might try to go back and draw something else, this was basically a test to try out the digital drawing program I downloaded, if anyone is wondering, I downloaded Krita to do this drawing.

Edit: I just realized, I never added the extra color to the eyes, oops I failed, lol

I think I have heard of it, I just downloaded Krita to try it out, seems like a more complex Photoshop, not in a bad way, but they have additional texture brushes, options to make customize brushes, and whatnot. I might look into Gimp and see if it is easier to use, lol.

I'm not familiar with Krita, but Gimp's been around for ages and it's an open-source program so it is always getting better and it is almost exactly like photoshop.

does anyone ever wonder if they are 'down-loading' Worldly Stuff 'in place' of Godly Stuff'???
are we wasting our 'time' on things that don't FEED US Spiritually??? is it PROFITABLE???
not judging, but just pondering the WHOLE situation for us to be able to GROW in God's Will...

Just sharing some stuff I’ve done in the past, I would really, REALLY, really love to make another one of these, but it takes a lot of time, time that only could be spent well in 11th grade, lol:

204F8A5E-6C28-475E-B085-8C042DEB283D.jpeg

I can’t remember how big the paper is, but it’s 1x1 inch squares, and you needed to put a unique pattern in each one, but to also add shading, make each pattern light or dark, or a mix of light and dark. I basically “Copy drew” a picture of Chii from Chobits I got off the Internet (Pretty sure it was a screen shot) and went to work with my patterns. Chii was originally sleeping on a pillow in the picture, but I decided to not draw that in there, and I think it looks better because I did that.

Plus, I just love to doodle...my bible study books have a bunch of doodles, lol. I can’t help it, when I see blank space, I wanna doodle, this is one of my favorite doodles, just for how silly it is:

But yeah, I’m definitely better at copy drawing, than making up my own drawings with “free style drawing”, lol.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I DID NOT MAKE THIS:

I’ve been thinking of trying to learn how to do 2D animation, and seeing animation projects like this just really helps me to appreciate animation/artists and how everyone has a different art style.

Thanks ^_^

I’m still not good at some stuff and I’m just okay to be honest, like I prefer to not draw hands or ears on my characters, but looking back on how I used to draw, I have improved through all the practice and just doing it again and again.

Here’s an example of how I’ve improved:

The new one has the date on it, and is not the paper with lines.

For fun, we had a thing where we played with playdough in Bible study, “for we are the clay that god models and creates”, that’s why we played with playdough...I kind of showed off my clay skills, you see I’ve been taking art classes at school since the 6th grade, the only year I didn’t do a art class was the 9th grade, and making and messing with clay is legit fun but it gets messy:

But yes I was showing off, lol, it’s a head with two arms at the base, and he’s wearing a beret hat, because why not? LOL

Yes I love playing with clays too, it is fun, that's why I like doing miniatures using clay, I mostly use it for food making/ sculpting/ modeling.
