Ask God that. He left a Church with a structure and a leader.
Is that all the Pope is a leader? Christ's earthly mediator isnt the same as a Pastor. We have seen this with the Mormon Church where their pope's are called prophets who are put in power.

Well, this has been very entertaining but the comments are comeing faster than I can reply to them so I'm done here.

It's been useful though - it's pointed out the trolls and anti-Catholics.

If anyone want's a serious discussion on a particular Catholic issue just start a thread and let me know.
I will be happy to try and explain.

Christ is or mediator. I dont need a man to seek repentance from. I dont need to hear from a man I am forgiven. I dont need to practice different works to achieve salvation. We all are called to ambassadors for Christ. The Spirit lives in us thus the term God in us. I dont believe in a limbo afterlife state. I believe the Canon is 66 books, no more.

If you cannot handle the heat then dont start a thread asking for pushback. It is a lot hotter in Hell though so it would be wise for us to debate this and see does both beliefs bring salvation.

Even though the smell of troll is strong with you, I invite you to tell US what it is about Roman Catholicism that is biblically correct? Where does Jesus tell us that there will be an appointed "representative" of him on earth after he's gone? Where does scripture tell us to elect "super christians" as cardinals, priests, etc? Where is the whole hierarchy of the RCC shown in scripture? Where in scripture does it tell us to pray to Mary, the mother of Jesus? Where in scripture does it tell us that a man (priest) can grant absolution for sins, or that you can pray someone out of condemnation, after they are dead?
I could go on and on, but that should give you a good homework assignment....

Probably one for every one of the 30,000+ Protestant denominations and one pastor churches.
So you actually don’t know the answer which means you merely made a bold statement, and an untrue statement at that. The truth is there is only one version of God’s grace.

No doubt about that but he is full crap with all the show boating, it’s basically a show boat religion.

I’ve been to a sermon and watched a practice of reading from two books, the guy would read from one book then move to a big chair and read from another book. They got more manmade traditions then I think the original Pharisees had lol.
I have been to several catholic churches as I know a family who are firmly indoctrinated into catholic ideology. They even have a print of Mary hanging up on there wall! It is obviously pagan and manmade. None of the sermons made any sense. One place even had a child turn the pages of the book for the priest :O Unbelieveable to see but there it was

How about some of you supporting your claims with some evidence?

At the moment they are just unsupported opinions.
Explain this heresy. Mary is NOT a co-redemptrix. Our local catholic church has a statue similar to THIS one.

Here is the Scripture that states JESUS is the one who crushes the serpent's(Satan) head:
Genesis 3:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise HIS Heel"

One of the main issues I have with the doctrine, is Mary having compassion about the guest at the wedding reception in Cana running out of wine. I think it was a personal feeling to want the reception to go smoothly for what ever reason probably was a family member. But Jesus clearly said woman why do you bother me with this. If it was a compassionate moment He would not say that IMO.

8 years catholic grammar school. Scores of catholic relatives. I am painfully aware of all the satanic catholic doctrines such as purgatory and indulgences. BOTH of which continue to this day.

OK, but please can you make it something serious, not trivia like "call no man father".
Catholicism vs Protestantism is the name of the thread. May still be waiting for a moderator to confirm it.
