Have any of you enjoy a tea of Moringa? I found it healthy!

A Cuban I met had several seeds he shared with a group of people I was, in a convention: It tastes delicios!

I´ve planned to get some trees my own house (Hope I look like those Asian in Hawai).

More to read on:

MORINGA: Uses, Side Effects, Interactions and Warnings - WebMD

Side effects: "Chemicals in the root, bark, and flowers can make the uterus contract, and this might cause a miscarriage."

"Moringa is sometimes used to increase breast milk production. Some research suggests it might do this, however, there isn’t enough information to know if it is safe for the nursing infant. Therefore, it is best to avoid moringa if you are breast-feeding."

I don't know if it's that healthy, but after Fidel said that's what he uses to battle cancer, moringa trees almost came to extinction in my country. (LOL)

Saludos, hna!

Thanks for sharing,
So have you made tea from the roots or the leaves? Would it make a good Ice Tea?

I used only the seed. Excellent for my stomach and those who were in a convention (unless someone else has added anthing beyond sugar). Smell too good, too. :)

Surf the net and confirm what those hyperlink have actually said.

Thanks!

That tree is a real hit where I come from. its known to cure TONS of diseases e.g high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy only to mention a few...we usually just brew the powdered leaves or add the powdered leaves to cooking for vitamin enhancement (which are also in high quantity!). Miracle tree they call it.

i have no idea! I checked in Hawai it is sold but, if it is good enough, no doubt it could be boicoted to get the market places safe for the system and its pharma economy. ;)

Good morning Lyta! (9:35 am here).

It´s my fault not using PMs. I disabled that advantage, so now I used threads, posts or Visitor Messages (VM) which are publicly seen on profiles.

The moment my moringa seeds grow and pop up, I will show the progress.

PS

The leg is heal. It has two marks, like two coins, I gonna keep to remember what i felt. Thanks!

I´m dying to smell it again. It tasted so sweet and different: That I loved HER. Ja! Ja!

I thought I have them lost, but I found them hung in my window, last weekend. I´m going to prepare a special place for them. It is I who have been in the city, paying to little attention to my piece of land.

Do you have a special place to put them, in a shielded field?

We have lots of the trees here, and usually the leaves are made into teas or cooked with coconut milk in some regions. Didnt know there was moringa body mist but must be nice.

Good! I´m new on it. In fact I´m trying to have several of them my own land but the seeds I got do not grow yet. It seems to serve a lot, but I lacked the alimentary experience I want to undergo.

Thanks fort sharing!

A naturopathic doctor I like has me on a low oxalate diet with some supplements to dissolve and prevent kidney stones. After 40 of them over 20 years they are gone. I was diagnosed Diabetes 2, and she has put that under diet control without needing typical meds from my primary physician, to his amazement. A1C is 6.5 every test. But last year she got onto Moringa, wanted patients to get in on a club selling it. That began the worse health year I ever had. I was taking the Moringa root extract, which really messed me up. She stopped it, and I recovered within a month. She has stopped promoting it. I'll say that stuff really made me feel GREAT after taking, but later in the day I had to take extra blood pressure meds and lie down, heart going wild, and got put on a heart med. The one month supply was enough to get me back to normal. I never got around to using the tea leaves, threw it all out not knowing what drug interactions might happen. Too bad. I had a big jump in energy using it. Use with caution.

Anyway, later I came across this
"Moringa is POSSIBLY SAFE when taken by mouth and used appropriately. The leaves, fruit, and seeds might be safe when eaten as food. However, it’s important to avoid eating the root and its extracts. These parts of the plant may contain a toxic substance that can cause paralysis and death. Moringa has been used safely in doses up to 6 grams daily for up to 3 weeks."
