I am a High Church Anglican, Ulster Loyalist, High Tory and moral Protestant. I have believed in God since 2014. I went to bed one night, realised I believed in God, cried a little and woke up the next day, all my pain and anger had gone. I maintain came to believe because of Peter Hitchens political arguments, which made sense to me and so I started moving in that direction. I believe morality which is enforced within your life shall improve it and protect you from immoral people, whom I believe you should remove from your life. I have difficulty dealing with the immoral people, as they can't be trusted. I guess this is why I am here, I want to meet more moral people who I will be interested in and want in my life. I have tried other forums and site, met like two people in 20 months. I think the following make someone immoral. Drug use, drink alcohol to excess, sex or sexual relations outside of marriage, stealing, rape, murder, physical violence.

I consider myself a Protestant, rather than a Christian. However I like moral people, my girlfriend is a moral Hindu. So I don't mind what religion, race, culture, ethnic group someone is, as long as they are a moral person. Within Britain I oppose non-Conformity to the Anglican doctrine on marriage, abortion, divorce, female clergy, King James Bible and book of common prayer. I support the 39 Articles of Anglican doctrine and belief.

That is all I have to say for the time being. High Church and Sacherevell!

Okay, so lemme catch your drift. You post a thread practically using a threatening attitude to those who have had sex outside of marriage. But, in this post, you mention your girlfriend is a Hindu?

So basically, being unequally yolked is moral to you but every sin mentioned in the Bible is immoral?

Yeah, ok.

Hehehe. She is ethnically Hindu. But believes in Jesus and the Bible. :D

Also I judge people by their actions, not their beliefs. :) God can judge those who don't believe.

Thank you. Glad to be here. Apologies for the goings on in the other thread. I didn't mean this to happen. I was just trying to be helpful I guess with people struggling with maintaining their virginity until marriage. As I know how hard it is. Then people saying I am a hypocrite and immoral myself because I have a Hindu girlfriend. :(

That is a huge problem. Lots of people who are Christians have sexual relations before marriage. I usually prefer to address it in a loving attitude because honestly, I'm not Christ! I sin too, and Christ is the only one who can condemn. But I do see the problem you are addressing. God bless!

Hi Sacheverell,

Welcome to CC. My friend. I thank our Father that He has revealed Himself to you. It's important to realize that you did not do this yourself, but He brought you to Himself by the drawing and revelation of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says that no man comes to God unless the Spirit draws him.
Now I know nothing of the things that you mentioned, such as the High Church, 29 articles, etc. All I know is something is in the Word of God or it isn't. Jesus appealed to the poor and simple folk. I say this because I sense that you want to intellectualize your experience with God and yes, I could be wrong.
Trim off the fat, get into the meat of the Word of God and let this be your guide. You don't have to look at religion very long to realize what the ideas of man have done to the true Gospel of Christ. It's about relationship, spending time, intimate time with God in prayer. Reading His Word prayerfully and seeking the Holy Spirits leading as you do.
God speed on your journey, as long as you stay on the right path.
