I Meant to Pray!

with both my eyes my bed I see..
then falling down upon my knees..
i bowed my head and rubbed my nose..
then got a twitch in both my toes..
i sighed aloud and turned my head..
leaned forward resting on my bed..
i thought to say ..my Lord to keep...
but next i started seeing sheep..
i thought that night upon the day..
both how i worked and how i played..
about the bad, about the good..
and if i did the things i should..
i counted blessings great and small..
while watching shadows on my wall..
i yon then squint to see the time..
and one whole minute's passed me by..
i thought i'd rest my eyes a peep..
then wondered off into the deep..
then later on i heard a creek..
and woke up falling fast asleep..
i meant to pray i member that..
but nothing else in nothing flat..
my neck a crick and back a wreck..
and under me both legs were cramped..
i got up slow and got to bed..
shook the fairy dust out of my head..
i meant to pray i member that..
but nothing else in nothing flat..

but I don't because I can't ever focus on what the bible says.

But what's the point, when God seemingly doesn't hear me?

He hears you and loves you! It takes practice in concentration for both studying and praying! 😋

Easy for you to say. You probably have no problem focusing when you read the bible.

I use to, i had to learn to be aware of drifting off to those other 20 things you were talking about earlier! Read this next week for 5 minutes at a time a day. Then up it to 7 minutes the next week, ect........😋
