i am sorry to say, in union with your gift placed in you, But the Word of GOD through CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT justifies, you and i and other believers are just a witnesses belonging in the fivefold ministry of discipleship, to the LORD JESUS CHRIST of the New Covenant, with again i am to repeat, as a given gift of the HOLY SPIRIT to labor as lowly as possible. You are a friend and i am no better than you, in obedient and submission to the Word and will of the Living GOD in CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT.

Isaiah chapter 58, talks to all of us about true Fasting?

JESUS actual fasting was to obey GOD and do HIS will, in liberating the oppressed, who do not know about the Good News of Grace and Truth about Salvation.

Ephesians 6;15 say about a believer's only desire, even while in possessing the gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT, that the Good News and Peace be ready to be preached.

Never in the Scripture HOLY SPIRIT reference, mentioned that to boast about our gifts and it's power but in obedience and submission to CHRIST's Word of the New Covenant, put them together with others, to full use and freely give in humble and humility, so that the Grace and Truth placed in us speak for us, rooted in CHRIST.

Years ago I was hooked on energy drinks, I fasted for a time and when I came back I found I couldnt drink anymore than a sip, it was amazing. - i wasnt doing it because of the energy drinks either. Fasting is awesome for prayer, I find praying so much easier when fasting.

Its been on my heart to fast for awhile now. I have fasted before several times but only for 1 day. Even then I noticed how much more focused I was while I was praying.

I want to go 3 days this time. That verse about "these kind only go out with prayer and fasting" keeps coming into my mind. I wonder why fasting takes so much discipline and is so difficult? And why I have only been able to go 1 day...

My reason for this post is not to boast in ourselves but to share the experience that others may be benifited through testimony nothing more . The rest is up to faith

I have one piece of sound advice for anyone wanting to go on a lengthy fast...THAT BURGER WILL NOT SATISFY! I tell ya now, I was on a lengthy fast and finished It off with a big burger currently being advertised because I desired it and its a deception! Do not fall for it lol..remember these words.

The atributes are a more focused mind with God , also when used along with the Holy Spirit gift it breaks bonds rejuvenates cultivates the believer even renewing the heart , fasting along with the gifting helps development of the giftings but no one will really know unless you try it for yourselves i can say Gods gift along with fasting has done wonders

It is possible to fast without signs following, for the Pharisee fasted in the wrong way in Matt 6:16 to 18. Some people fast for health reasons only.

I found Crusade for Christ has instructions on fasting. Would any of you who has done it have suggestions for those of us who are new to fasting?

According to Daniels challenge to the king to only eat vegetables for 10 days. A 'Daniel Fast' is fasting all meat for 10 days, for those who love their meat, a great humbling challenge lol

3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. note

Well, 2013; so you are a PK! LOL.

Who ordered you to fast 3 days, and how do you know who ordered it? Where does the Bible command fasting to persons in the Church (Acts 2 onward) -- I don't mean references to Jewish Christians doing fasting in Acts -- history doesn't prove doctrine.

Did you know that in the Law of Moses "fasting" never occurs? It has been remarked that the Lord gave them feast days instead of fast days. The Great Day of Atonement, one day a year, says to afflict the soul, which evidently included fasting -- so only 1 fast day a year under the Law was prescribed; but we are not under the law.

Obviously you believe that you get messages from the Lord. Do you consider them the Word of God just like the Bible? If so, have you written them down and added them after the Book of Revelation? Do your messages predict the future without error?

If you have not fasted before i would recomend conditioning for the fast start by fasting from 12 am till 12 pm if then the next time increase it to 6pm eventually doing a three day in a row but allways keep in mind its for the glory of God and His glory Is Hil will to the lost and needy this is the main purpose , but in order one to help others one must be put in order and this is the begining and the maintenance done to glorify God by a deeper relationship that others also may be envouraged in the faith ,remember the harvest is the Whole purpose of this that we all share the same glory , the spirit will make you aware and stronger and if you have the gift of the holy ghost prayer in the spirit is encouraged to be edified more intensly but , i forgot to speak concerning those with health conditions prohibiting them to fast completely then i would recomend a bread and water fast or a vegetable fast ..and let the goal be the harvest to the glory of the Father

You obviously are deviating from an edifying discussion if you are agitated for what reason ? To do goo? do you think that people werent ordered or encouraged to fast ? The purpose of fasting is for the edificatin renovation of the soul and mind of the believer to better witness to the lost a gospel with power and Holy Ghost not just in word only a complete gospel it is what the devil hates to see them devils cast out and others encouraged
