of course its ok to watch movies..and it dosent say anything about movies in the bible because movies wernt around in that time lol..the only think to remember when watching worldly movies and listening to music is to make sure you dont treat it as a reality and apply it to everyday life otherwise you will slip. so apart from that go for it bro

Paul says something about it too, his instructions are more of the positive(whats good) and not the negative(whats bad).

It really depends on the person and where they are in their walk with God. It also depends on the movie. How much influence does the movie have on you? How much does it effect you at a sub-conscious and emotional level? Is there an apparent or not very apparent spiritual component to the movie?
1 Corinthians 6:12
Once the movie actually starts changing the way you think or the way you want to view the world, you have to discern whether or not it is beneficial or is actually "mastering"(changing) the way you perceive things. For example horror films. Is it really that beneficial to watch them? How much fear is it planting in you? Is fear something God wants you to have? In modern romantic films, love is perpetuated as having sexual relations with the other person. How much of this world view is seeping into your way of thinking? These are the types of questions only you can answer. There is no polar yes or no answer to this question. But if you have to ask, then most likely you aren't in a good place to be watching movies until you are ready to surrender this desire to God. Even if movies don't effect you in a negative way, it is a matter of the heart. If this is something that you aren't willing to surrender to God then it has become an idol. I am not saying that you can't watch movies, just that God should always have the option in your life to tell you not to. God cares the most about what is on your heart, not what you do or don't do, because it is only possible to be fully obedient when your heart is in agreement and submission to God.

It's not a sin to watch TV and movies...yes, there are a lot of movies out there that people shouldn't have even thought of filming in the first place, but not all of them are bad....there are a LOT of good movies out there that aren't bad...and there are also Christian movies out there. So not all of it is bad. God can be glorified through anything, including TV shows and movies....just gotta watch out for the bad stuff. I hope this helped...

You're not supposed to have leisure time. What does the Bible say about being idle? You're not supposed to enjoy yourself because it's not about you; it's all about God! Watching a movie or television will make you idle and it will take your mind off God! You're supposed to read your Bible every day, spend several hours a day in prayer, go to church, witness to every single person in your town and try take them to church with you, etc. When Jesus left the tomb, He folded the clothes He'd been buried in, which tells us that Jesus cares about cleanliness, organization and keeping up appearances.
Do you see how extreme we can get? I'm sure someone else could add more rules and regs to the list. When I was a boy, we didn't watch television or play video games on Sundays. The rest of the week? No problem. But on Sundays? Not happening. (My parents eased up on that over the years.)
Bear in mind that Hollywood cannot produce anything godly because Hollywood is a "bad tree". Hollywood may make a few "spiritual" movies, but Christ is never the center of them or the answer to them. (And while many movies mention God, very few speak respectfully of Jesus. Even fewer movies that Hollywood makes, if any at all, preach the undiluted, genuine message of the cross.)

In John chapter 2 we see two sides of Jesus. Yes He knows how to have fun. His first miracle was, in the words of Mark Lowry, one just to keep the party going. But we also see that Jesus knows there is a time for fun and a time to be serious. He knows when it's time to get down to business. Watching movies is not a sin, assuming that you aren't watching anything Jesus wouldn't watch. If you have to ask then no, it's probably not something He'd watch. But as long as you don't let watching movies consume your life and get in between you and Jesus there's nothing wrong with it!

Jesus folded the clothes because that was a tradtion in those days to fold a napkin at the table if you were coming back. folding the clothes meant he was coming back. Had nothing to do with neatness.

well friend, movies like TV movies aren't in the bible lol.....the way you make it sound is like..."where is koalas in the bible for if it is not then it doesn't exist"...believe me iv heard that.
but to my opinion....nope....you are not bound from movies by the Lord...except the sinful movies like porn or gory movies like Jason.
