The problem with these future scenerios is that while this type of technology could become common in Western societies there are still millions of people around who not only have no access to IT but still lack the basics in life. We see
charity appeals for everything from medicine to clean drinking water. The idea that all these people are to suddenly acquire
a chip is the stuff of science Fiction.

I guess you do not believe this either:

The Mark of the Beast
16And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sellunless he had the mark — thename of the beast or the numberof its name. 18Here is a call for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and that number is six hundred sixty-six.…
This part of Revelation happened back in the 1st century AD, as did the vast majority of the book.

How exactly is RFID Chip the name or number of the beast? Its only a technology, nothing more.

It can be used (disabled people, for example) or misused (always knowing where you are).

But there is no "evil" encoded in the chip.

BTW "system" can cut you off from buying even today, your account can be freezed. No difference with the chip.

And "system" can track you down with mobile phone switched on.

We do tend to focus upon the erroneous belief that the Bible was written exclusively to and about us.

I'm not worried about any kind of "chip".... I don't want one, but if it comes down to being the only way to function in our society, I'll do it.

Think about it.... it's much like demon possession... you cannot be possessed against your will, if you belong to Jesus. Period.

Just because you have a chip implanted, do you think that will make you "belong to Satan" ??? You cannot be possessed against you will/beliefs.

The people referenced in John's Revelation WANTED the mark of the beast on them, as their identification. You cannot be forced to believe something against your will....

You could be forced to have "I'm a Satanist" tattooed on your forehead.... does that make you a Satanist?

Use some logic here..... and have faith in our God....

People have been trying to work out what the beast consists of for 2000 years. I doubt anyone on here or U Tube will crack it. As about 90% of Revelation is based on OT events such as the Exodus, Daniel and various other passages I prefer to stick to what the Bible explains rather than speculation based on the latest news item that takes peoples fancy

I agree! The RFID chip itself is not the Mark of the Beast. I think that the Mark of the Beast will be stored in the micro chip.

Forgive me hornetguy, but that is exactly the wrong attitude. I'm sure that people during the time when the mark becomes the only valid method for electronic buying and selling, that many will have the same reasoning.

It was necessary for the electronic crediting and debiting system (buying and selling) to come into existence and evolve, which it is still doing. The very fact that we have people being implanted under the skin of the hand should be a giant red flag. I'm sure that this device will continue to evolve into something more applicable. But what will remain consistent regardless of what that device evolves into, is that it will go either on the right hand or forehead. Each individual will have the choice to receive it or reject it. Therefore, a good rule of thumb would be to never receive any kind of device applied in or on the skin of the hand or forehead.

Just because you have a chip implanted, do you think that will make you "belong to Satan" ??? You cannot be possessed against you will/beliefs.

From the middle of the seven years and during the entire last 3 1/2 years, the mark/device will be the only way to be able to perform electronic crediting and debiting and that because cash, checks, and all other forms of electronic crediting and debiting will be made obsolete. Therefore, people are not going to be physically forced to receive the mark, but they will be forced because the other options for buying an selling will be invalid. Kinda' like, if you live out in a remote area and there is only one cable provider. Either you buy their service or you won't have cable. It will be the same here, no mark, no electronic buying or selling. This mark will be that proverbial line being drawn in the sand, which will cause each and every person to make their own decision whether to receive it or to reject it. Those who have no love for God and care more about their own lives on the earth, will receive it. I'm sure that many will use the same reasoning that you did above i.e. "but if it comes down to being the only way to function in our society, I'll do it," Because that is exactly what it is going to come down to.

As believers in Christ, we should be resisting this electronic crediting and debiting technology in honor of God, not engaging in it. If a person can't resist it now for the sake of convenience, what will they do if their very lives depended on receiving it? For scripture states that, "without it no one will be able to buy or sell." For those who do receive that mark, scripture has the following warning:

"A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

I would think that the warning above would keep anyone from receiving any device or implant under the skin of the hand, regardless. What we have been seeing is the evolution of the technology for the coming mark, its forerunner. The current electronic crediting and debiting system is the same system that the mark is going to run on. All that is missing is the revealing of that antichrist/beast and it being the only method of buying and selling, which won't be mandatory until the middle of that last seven years, which is also why we have been seeing more and more people world-wide depending on electronic crediting and debiting. And is also why for many years, we have been seeing the push to phase out invoice remittance via check to pay our bills in favor of electronic payment.

From the time that I first received Christ and began to read God's word, the Spirit drew me to end-time events and the book of Revelation and all related scriopture, which I continue to study till this day. The Lord made me aware of the mark of the beast technology from the beginning when the first ATM's started popping up, followed by the Universal Product Code (UPC), which was followed by the Point of Sale system (POS) and now for the last couple of years, beginning in Sweden, the implanting of the RFID chips under the skin of the hand. This technology will continue to evolve leading up to the revealing of that antichrist/beast.

Though the beast has not yet been revealed, we still have the technology that will be used for his mark, which is the reason that till this day I continue to use cash and checks to make my purchases.

The RFID is not the mark of the beast. It would be too easy, albeit painful, to dig it out of the skin if one didn't want it anymore...
