youre conflating two points

we are justified by faith

not deeds

this is what im calling him out on

i encourage seeking deliverance from any sin

i wish for us all to be shining examples and witnesses

but youre very confused if you think youre not defending a works salvationist right now

he is lying about the bible and
saying "not sinning" is what saves in a thread called what must i do to be saved

and youre acting as if when i call this lie out im justifying sin <- youre either confused (which is what i believe the case to be) and making a straw man

or falsely accusing me with your original reply to me

i like you lol
we have spoken a lot
but i wont bend the truth or dance around the issue at hand
we are justified by faith
Our faith is counted to us as righteousness.
To have faith is to trust.
To abide is to remain in, gain endurance and keep having that trust.
The result of that abiding is to become more and more like our Lord.
We believe/trust/abide in that trust to the saving of our souls.
We run a race to win it. When we stumble we get up and run again.
It's a race to keep trusting and to trust more and more and to run longer and longer periods of time without stumbling. Why focus on the stumbling when we know if we stumble we have an advocate?

Jesus never preached a Schizophrenic Bi Polar Gospel, where you perpetually lose your salvation and then gain it again. That would make Christ weak and incapable of assuring us of salvation, because we could die while we don't abide for that moment and lose our salvation
I don't think she's qualifying 'not abiding in him' as not being saved. When we rest in Christ we have power over sin. When we don't rest in Christ we don't have power over sin.

The main thing is that she accept the fact that every single saved person will continue to sin every day of their lives until they drop dead

I've been participating in on-line forums for 13 years (not as long as some, I know) and I've come to the conclusion that 'strawman' and 'conflate' should be put in the garbage bid of overused forum words (which, ironically, we never use in our everyday talk).

im focusing on the man who is pushing a false gospel in hopes to correct his error and you defend him:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:

how is saying we are saved by grace through faith "focusing on stumbling" in a thread called what must i do to be saved where you defend a sinless perfectionist <- says ones own walk saves them as opposed to Christs

Only because every single saved person will not continue to rest perfectly in Christ every day of their lives. I think she knows this.

I've never used this phrase in my entire life but...that's a strawman!

Where has God gotten this bad reputation that if someone stumbles he is cut off? If a man doesn't produce fruit, he is pruned so that he produces fruit.

And we know that if we do stumble, we have an advocate.
And we know Gods' mercies begin anew each morning.
And we know that if God expects us to forgive 70x7, that surely HE is even MORE merciful and forgiving than us!

So run your race of trust to win!

No such thing.
Once you lose your salvation it's gone, baby. Gone. No one is allowed to re-crucify Christ. God doesn't allow that.

It's pushing a false gospel to say God has promised that if we abide in Him we don't sin?

You have given a thumbs down to this post NNM. Which part of it do you think is not true?

She's not using 'not abiding' to mean 'not saved', and 'abiding' to mean 'saved'.
i know

i meant the original person she is defending

not her

the man she defended which started this debate

i say we are saved by grace through faith

he is a sinless perfectionist that says any 1 sin = unsaved

she defends him

and tries to assume i say God cant deliver us from any sin <- i actually believe He provides a way out at EVERY point
even if we miss it

If you believe that you're sinless we have nothing to discuss
Where is the verse that says that we will continue to sin every day.? Those are not words of faith and If it is not of faith it is of sin.

True or false. We can do all things through HIM who Strengthens us. For we are more than conquers. For GOD is faithful HE will not suffer us to be tempted above that we are able to bear but with the temptation give us a way to bear it.
