I saw royalty. The kind of royalty that keeps me kneeling before a king, the kind of royalty that kept my legs locked in tight. Almost as if I were to move a muscle, my knees would fumble before me. The presence was like the center pool between a circle of sharks, it was like the middle wrap of a boa's grasp, it was the like retreat of a huge flock of birds. In that flock I was left behind, In that water I was bleeding out, In that grasp I was choking, And there was no way out, No retreat. Only surrender.
