just a quick piece of advice. please do a little quick research on the Hebrew roots movement, the seventh day advent church, the assembly of called out believers.

that will help you understand where beta, and some others, are coming from.
there you go again with your false accusations....never belonged to any of them nor do I concern myself with their doings....but you don't care as long as you can vent your hate and spite.

Your attitude (no doubt well-meaning) seems to say ''who needs God...we can do this and we can do that and God will NOT MIND '' This comes from the fact that you ignore HIS instructions telling you to assemble before Him ON THE SABBATH Lev 23. All christians seem to think they can do as they please and God won't mind when it comes to His Commandments.
We are told we are soldiers of God.....now if the Commanding Officer gives a command do we just ignore it or chang it to our liking ??? TRY IT and you would soon find yourself in serious trouble. Why should God be any different ? We are supposed to be in training for HIS great purpose.....pleasing SELF is not an option. He is of course PATIENT until we learn OBEDIENCE Heb 5v8,9, but if we don't you know what will happen.
Plus..God is not a drill seargant giving comands or a dictaorship..He allows us free will and we EACH will be acountable for our actions. I doubt if the thief on the cross went to confession or even the temple or synagog..

Hi There. I am so bad at this being a full time working Mum and my hubby with type 1 diabetes.I tend to do cooking and shopping as well as the washing on Sunday and getting everyone ready for school . That is after church. So bad. I have been thinking about it for some time now, how to stop work on Sunday. I think it is about being organised and making sure my heart in the right place. I should be living for Jesus first. He should come first. Also a lovely, family walk would be good instead of me rushing round. Thank you for your comment of encouragement. ;-)
Why are you concerned about sunday ? it's the first day of the week and a 'work-day.....NOT the HOLY DAY given by GOD observed by JESUS !

If people want to follow Jesus why not walk in HIS steps ?.

Many won't go to church if all they have is a ratty old pair of jeans. Because of the social construct it makes them feel bad, less than, others. Others that can't deal with those who are less priviledged. Nobody wants to go somewhere that makes them feel bad.

Example; I used to fellowship with a group called the "I found it" movement, hippys, stoners and surfers who put down our bongs and picked bibles. I was outside with a couple of friends after service, with my bible in hand. Some lady walked up and asked if I knew Jesus? My friends started quietly chuckling. Yes I do I responded, why do you ask? Well you don't look like you do. She replied. My buds broke out laughing.. She got offended. It's like she thought there was some kind of secret dress code or uniform Christians should follow to come worship the lord. Wow, culture shock

I am not taking sides but feel MOST people are MISSING THE POINT..OUR God..the one that came to save BOTH JEW AND GENTILE isnt worried about POLITICAL CORRECTNESS but each of our HEARTS..
Good morning Jewell, the secular world says follow your heart and you can't go wrong. Scripture tells us that our hearts or our conscience will lead us astray. Prov. 14:12 "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." That is repeated in Prov. 16:25. Then there is what beta listed in Jer. 17:7. No, our so called "hearts" will let us down. The Sabbath is not about political correctness, it is one of the Commandments.

Then the question is.WHO rules and guides your hearts..you will NOT go astray if its Gods..in our carnal minds and hearts yes..prone to stray.

And there was a REASON that those 10 commandments were made in the OT..but there was also animal sacrifes and such as well..are we supposed to just abide by the 10 commandments and forego what Christ acvomplished on the cross? THE CROSS changed a LOT of "rules" but like i said..some are still stuck in the OT traditions...

I do not hate anyone. as a matter of fact, when you were not around for a while, I was hoping you were o.k.

now, you do push the same theology as those groups do. you may not be one, but you are doing their work.

and sadly, that work is talking about salvation in any way but the true salvation - belief, faith and trust in Jesus.

No God is not a Dictator but He expects Obedience....why else are we expected to SUBMIT , to bow the knee ? He is patient UNTIL we do ! don't let 'free will' fool you into thinking you have time on your side.

People that attend church, are Christians, but they are babies. They got to mature. Your unable to do that under a different covering. Church covering, blocks the Holy Spirit
You have no right to judge the maturity of other believers.
You have no right to judge if the Holy Spirit is present in any assembly.
You continue to prove to us with every post that you have deceived yourself into believing you have great knowledge and understand when in reality you are very ignorant of the truth.

Oh thanks for caring ! I can't share your view about 'these groups because I don't know in detail what they believe. We keep the Sabbath yes but HOW ? I don't keep it in the OLD way since Jesus shows a better way.....and I DO believe HE is the only one to save us...which would include GOD's good works since they are HIS WILL ....and without doing it we can not be in His Kgd Mat 7v21. How is it we differ so much ???

I am sure God appreciates your worship anytime but it can not REPLACE HIS Holy Sabbath when HE is actually present for us to teach us ! that is the difference !. God gives HIS SPIRIt to those who OBEY Him...scripture says so....not to those who just read the words. Sadly christianity STOPS there and not being encouraged to move on and also DO what He says will stagnate and stunt their spiritual growth Lk 6v46. Having a 'downpayment/deposit of God's Spirit is good but yet lacks Power....like a car in bottom gear.

There used to be some dude that came on lae night christian TV. For $25 he would send you a piece of paper with an outline of his hand drawn on it, put it were you need healing and when he prayed you [supposedly] could be healed through it!:LOL::LOL:
