You know Kodiak was talking the floating axehead. I was remembering something the Lord pointed out to me about this. We can classify that as a miracle carried out by God's servant that wasn't necessary. Helpful, yes, but not necessary. Just like when Jesus turned the water into wine at a marriage. Since the axehead was borrowed the sons of the prophets were liable for it. Why not perform a little miracle in the name of expediency. Can we conclude that it is okay with God to do such? Thoughts?

I think that is an excellent question, Deade, and one worthy of seeking an answer about.

Perhaps more concisely, when is it OK to ask God to help with a want that is not a need?

I suggest it is appropriate to take every concern and desire before Him. He may answer, "Don't worry about it", or "Not yet", or "OK", or may change your concern entirely. But still we should bring our interests before him.

Good question, Deade!

I was looking out of the window one day and watched our lil snoopy dog trying to teach a chicken how to play ball. The hen tried 3 or 4 times to pick the ball up but got frustrated and nailed her on the nose with it's beak :love::cool:

Our beagle and 3 cats acutally protect our ducklings and chickens from preditors like skunks, rats and racoons. Stray cats too. We had a chicken get killed once. Hunny the dog brought it to our back door, crying, barking she wanted us to help the poor thing. too bad. She's been like their guardian angel ever since. Good dog, all she wants is a belly rub a pat on the head and someone to play ball with. She even brings us eggs but accidentally piearces them her k9s.

it's kind of funny when she brings us an egg so gently but unbroken. She won't eat them unless we say OK HUNNY then she goes where the cats aren't and breaks them in private. The kids are off for summer and every morn she runs in when I get my coffee, the other morn she looked at me before swatting their door open ant looked at me as if asking permission before swatting their door open. I waved my finger NO and pointed out the door. She left sheepishly but I didn't say a word and she didn't whine. It was natural, we didn't teach her that but she got it. But if one of them was awake she'd try and tackle them and lick them till they giggle. Shes only 'bout a year old! Cool huh?:cool::cool::love::love:

Has anyone watched No escape? I'm watching it now and it's as breath taking and nerve wrecking as any action thriller can be!
