Oh this reminds me... and makes me realize why my life is probably cursed.... When I was a kid about 8 years old, my friend's dog was on the sidewalk across the street from me and so I called it over so I could pet him (can't remember if it was a him or a her).... And it hesitated for awhile and then it came running towards me just as a car was coming and it got run over right in front of me. :( The driver tried to stop and his tires screeched so loud everyone in the neighborhood heard it, so my friend and his parents came running out and saw their poor dog :( I didn't know what to say or do. I was just standing there feeling horrible. I never did tell them that I was calling it over. :(
Ouch!!!! sorry you went through that. My eldest son has a similar fear. we just went through a hurricane. the dog was on a tie out. I told my son 13 maybe to move his dog he was tangled in the sun. I was on the home w/ insurance company. 15 mins later i look out window to dog having a heat stroke. He didn't listen and played with his friend. I was able to save the dog, but he was never the same again. It put a bitter taste in his mouth. I think he's afraid he might hurt one again. He's now 25 wants a German Shepherd, like my old girl. but everytime talks himself out of it.

Oh poor doggie :( I once saw someone walking a big black dog here when it was over 100 degrees outside and it had long fur too. I just hope the guy didn't have him out for long.

Nope not wise for human or beast in those temps. When Bear went down, 7 dogs in that town died from heat strokes. the humidity from hurricane and no power for A/C. The dog was half husky, half black lab. solid black w/ sky blue eyes. My son, learned a painful lesson.

Hahaha... Love it. Gibbs is a rare blue Pit. His coat is iridescent and appears blue/red/gray from different angles. All four are rescues!
You couldn't leave L.A., alone you had to get a Cholo dog with a pearl coat.:love::LOL:

I'm allergic to Kitty cats. Though I did have one cat I miss dearly. I found her with a compound fracture as a kitten. Vet set it wrong and left her in a cast to long aswell. She adopted me. so I taught her the rules, no claws, and no getting in my face. we did good. I even taught her to attack my ex . Only house cat I ever had. She even helped me in my garden. Her name was Monty. ( family nick named her "wanker witch") anytime they walked by she would reach out and touch them. Claws extended. She was a charcter

I'm not single but this is my Pitbull Noah who thinks he's a lap dog. He's bigger than these pics now. He even has his own doggy chair. :D
