Wolf Sin: A sheep story
by me

Death waits for me, from across the sea. Like a predator with reflective eyes prowling.
He's put on a show pretending as if he loves me, impatient his song turned to hatred growling.
Just beyond the fence, my gaze turns to fantasy, about all the love I've ever dreamed.
What of the warnings of my end, if I should ever venture, to the place beyond the green?

Sadly I bleet, haunted by your warmth that leads to my end,
I want to go, but I know that nothing good will ever come, should I venture beyond the bend.
Voices come saying "he loves you.." or I hear your voice whisper in my ear, "I will love/kill you."
Tears flood my eyes, but only because, I wish the love part was true,

The truth hurts, it aches my heart,
because you pace back and forth,
waiting for me to run past the fence,
where it would be torn all a part.

I see you watching me, from beyond the fence,
so I turn to you and sing:

"It's not my fault you got hurt,
and gave your heart to others and got burnt..
What do I owe you, and why should I throw it
all away...
when I live in happiness every day.

I'm sorry, although I love you,
the truth hurts...

and I'm sure my heart will mend,
for I know where I am rooted and grounded,
love will find me in the end.

You lost my heart.

Goodbye."

I continue to graze,
in the land so green,
happily among those
who have always loved me.

The wolf continues to wait
devising his evil strategy to lure
his next victim from the pasture.
