Eph 2:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(My note: We are saved by God's grace, the faithful righteous redemptive sin atoning work of Christ & our faith in Christ's death (sins wage PAID IN FULL) & resurrection (God's receipt, payment received & accepted). It isn't our great works or our repenting from anything. It's our faith placed in the spilled BLOOD & RESURRECTION of Jesus the Christ that reconciles us to God.

1 Jn 2:
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
(My note: Christ the righteous is our propitiation:

PROPITIATION KJV Dictionary Definition:

1. The act of appeasing wrath and conciliating the favor of an offended person; the act of making propitious.

2. In theology, the atonement or atoning sacrifice offered to God to assuage his wrath and render him propitious to sinners. Christ is the propitiation for the sins of men. Rom.3. 1 John 2.

When we miss the mark (sin) and we will, Christ is our advocate:

KJV Dictionary Definition: AD'VOCATE, n. L. advocatus, from advoco, to call for, to plead for; of ad and voco, to call. See Vocal.

1. Advocate, in its primary sense, signifies, one who pleads the cause of another in a court of civil law. Hence,

2. One who pleads the cause of another before any tribunal or judicial court, as a barrister in the English courts. We say, a man is a learned lawyer and an able advocate.

Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
(My note: He obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION FOR US. Not until we miss the mark (sin) again)

Conclusion: Not only is Christ our advocate he's our final judge, Jn 5:22:

VERDICT: NOT GUILTY - FULL SIN PARDON!)
