This is a beautifully done cover of the Simon and Garfunkel classic Sound of Silence I doubt any of you would like any other Disturbed song unless its one of there covers but if you a fan of this song this is probably the best cover I've heard of it :)

Yeah I knew that was coming lol the song is not though the art is done by Todd Mcfarlene he does the spawn comics and has been doing the Disturbed Album covers since like 2005 lol he definitely has a dark foreboding tone to his art

Unfortunately I notice a lot of people on this site seem to automaticly assume its evil (especially artwork) because its scary and in some cases they are right but in others they dont know the story behind it and why its that way artist interpretation is different for everyone being one myself I do not make creepy for evil sake I just think it looks cool or in some artist cases it reflects emotions they where feeling when they drew it not always nefarious reasons but without knowing the story behind it its not safe to assume anything IMO

Good morning peeps, TGIF. "The Sound of Silence" is an anti-war song, so it is a serious, disturbing subject. It portrays war as evil, thus the evil looking overtones to the album cover.:):giggle:

I'm a hugh Simon and Garfunkel fan. If I saw that album cover in the rack I'd probably never make the connection.

Tbh Disturbeds first album The Sickness was certainly a rebellion album as the lead singer was rebelling against his overly religious upbringing he had endured (I believe he is Jewish) there second album seemed to be a reconciliation with this fact as it has on the cover all faiths coming together as one which is a concept I kinda agree with I mean we should all make peace its true but I feel the album misses the point of these faiths the song believe is okay though for what it is truly a jewish take on repentance but it does mention crucifixion. Not a religious band by any means but they do make some well thought out music for sure.

Speaking of great anti war songs here's another great one by one of the big four Metallica I also recommend War Pigs by Black Sabbath (Preferably with Ozzy dont care much for Dio) and Rooster by Alice In Chains :) and for full Christian band I recommend Devastator by For Today....all of these bands are quite heavy and not every one will like them just a warning lol

I wonder how people listen to metal... it's like over enthused teenagers throwing a rock 'n' roll party in my brain...
