Where and when did the idea of a church age come into view? It would seem right in the beginning in Genesis our husband Christ as the seed in Genesis 3:15 was in pursuit of His bride the church .

When did the two bride theory develop ?

Dispensationalism divides between two the bride as Israel (1) and the bride as Christian (2). They would have others to believe there was no reformation restoring the bride to the proper order of Genesis 3:15 .

Christ's seed the incorruptible of our husband was established in the beginning. Where and why did the phrase church age come in? What is the purpose of it the phrase?

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.Geneisis 3:15

Well before I answer... may I ask what you believe? Do you believe their is a bride and separately there are the 144,000 that Jesus will save?

144,000 in that parable (signified language) is a metaphor for the unknown . Thousand is used that way throughout the scripture to whatever is in veiw. The 144 is the golden measure that he uses to measure the whole City of Christ, His bride, the church.

God does not number men or they will be quick to be in the number. The number assigned to his bride the church would possibly be in the billions today It represent the chaste virgin bride of Christ made up of all the nations of the world .God is no respecter of persons

I would point out that you have the bride, groom and GUESTS at the wedding in the parables.....most ignore the guests and LUMP ALL under the bride....a serious doctrinal error I might add!

Not sure what you mean by that parable as far as me having the bride, groom and guest.?

What do the invited guest represent?

Is it a invitation as the gospel? and the guest represent the bride as new creatures?

Again how was the phrase "church age" coined, seeing the church represents the bride. Has there ever been a age when Christ our husband was not in pursuit of His eternal bride as a new creature?
