If Not for Him

If not for Him, there’s nothing of worth
Hope of glory, bury my soul, frame
Transform me, by imminent-birth

Fill oh-Provider, from old the promise
Make that wilderness, strong consolation
Cares for me no-doubt, Your endless fuss

If not for You, too hard to contemplate,
Awful, dreadful, stop at hellish, appropriate
Transform my fears instead, all to Thee

Outshining Lord, of any phenomenon
Holder of all, Filler of all, Provider of all,
Worker of terrible and perfect love so holy,
