I believe that if we are seeking wisdom, we should turn to God to find it. I do not believe we should seek nor lean on the wisdom of man in spiritual matters. I want to share some Scriptures concerning wisdom....... thanks.....
Starting with:
Proverbs 3:5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
The Apostle Paul spoke to the Corinthians:
1st Corinthians 1:23) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25) Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26) For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 227) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28) And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29) That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31) That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
He wrote to the Ephesians:
5:14) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16) Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17) Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
James wrote the following:
James 1:1) James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
And, one of my favorite Scriptures:
Job 28:28) And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
I honestly believe that all spiritual wisdom comes from God, and through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit are we able to access this wisdom and apply it to our lives.
