Show Me The Way,

How important it is to stop and hear the Lord. In our
prayer, besides petitions, it's necessary to just hear
the Lord. Most ask for help from the Lord when they
feel in need and have faith that God will provide as
He said He would. But we also need to take time to
have prayer and just sit and listen to the Lord. I don't
mean a thunderous voice that says do this or do that.
Rather, it is a quiet inner voice as we become aware
of His presence. To start; reading a few verses of
scripture help and then put the Bible down stop all
other thoughts from invading the mind. It is a practice
that takes time and patience but we don't give up as
He will never give up. Soon we find His will enters us
in a quiet voice of certainty. Always we thank Him for
all He has given us without us ever asking. We should
be aware of those too. In this way we form a closer
relationship with Him.
