Peace.
In this world one of the greatest treasures on earth is peace.
Countries at war want it, people in broken marriages yearn for it and individuals controlled by stress and mental health issues would die for it.
In this life there are no guarantees. God may answer a prayer here and there. Marriages may be restored and individuals may get medical help or counselling however the reality is peace is hard to find: at least in this world.
I can’t speak for everyone’s thoughts about peace but for me the best place to find peace is in the Gospel of Christ.
Having real faith in a kingdom that will never end, where tears will be wiped away, immortal bodies and sin banished forever, death swallowed up in victory is the greatest satisfaction of peace I can find in this world.
I mean of course we can go to the park and wind down or get away on a holiday or spend time in nature. However the more time we spend in this world, the world wages war against our peace. This goes right to the top and into our families, children and our relationship with God. Our fallen state robs us of peace and so does a broken world.
If you’re looking for peace real peace that is, read your Bibles…know the gospel and seek the king of Peace who one day will offer you a peace beyond your greatest imagination.
Faith in him and the peace he gives you is a peace that no one can rob you of. A deep peace: the peace of the Holy Spirit.
Blessings. Chris Dobson
