My Soul Rejoices In God,

God has given many great things to us and
will be benevolent and merciful until the end of
time. God loves us unconditionally, absolutely
and forever. This is His greatest gift to us and
is not something we have earned but what His
generosity has poured out on to us. He loved
us first so we could love Him. Without His love
we are nothing and have no ability to love as He
loves. Many feel that they are useless or not
deserving of His love and worthy of the gifts that
He pours out on us. But God says, your ways
are not my ways. We tend to want to put God in
a box so we can make our ways His ways. Well
scripture doesn't work that way, it never leads us
into that direction. If we really think about it, how
could we ever repay God no matter what we did.
Of course we could try but is that what He really
asks us to do in scripture. From the first page of
Genesis to the last page of Revelation, all He
asks is that we accept His love and make it our
way of life. We need to love Him and our neighbor
so this world can become a place of harmony and
not a place chaos.

Amen! This came to my mind after reading your post

Psalm 50: 23. Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God's salvation to him.
