How do single christians solve the sexual problem? This is a sensitive subject. I once read a book on this topic, and the author seems to agree that christians should live together before marriage, and even single christians should masturbate if two people decide to get married. But another book is firmly against it. I don't know which point is right. Because single christians do face this challenge.

You are correct.....it is a sensitive subject.....one I usually avoid simply because believers are all over the map about these questions........

IMO

Living together before marriage is not Biblical...........but I know it happens........people will have to work out for themselves how they believe on this one. IF they believe it is a sin, then it is a sin for them. If they feel guilty about it, stop it.

Marriage is the very best option here.............it is what God intended for a man and a woman.........

Thank you for your answer, of course, marriage is the best choice to avoid crime. But if people can't get married for various reasons, they will face this realistic problem, because it is not easy for some people to find the right spouse, even some people will face a long wait. It's really a sensitive issue. I think it's his interaction with god

A Christian is called to be spiritual in Christ Jesus and to deny our carnal lusts.
Living together and masturbating empower the flesh and will inevitably lead to sinning against the holiness of God.
Have wisdom and avoid shipwrecking your faith and your walk.
Do not give ammunition to the enemy to shoot you with (Ephesians 6:10>)

"Be ye holy, for I am holy"

Thank you for your reply, which is also taught by the church in China, because it is a sin, we should overcome this selfish desire through god. I think that's the Christian view.

I definitely disagree with living together. On many levels.
Masturbation would be a form of sex, not with a spouse.
But as Paul said, it's better to marry than burn with desire. Showing he knows it can't be prayed away so easily, like some suggest.
Yet marriage, as you said, is not easily to attain.
And sexual desire is not a sin, so to treat it as such is also not right.
Yet lust is a sin, which parallels normal sexual desire which makes it hard to distinguish.

If there is ever a cycle that screws people over (pardon the pun) this is the area it would be.

Usually Christian's either excuse it or practically condemn sex completely. It's an area I've yet to see a clear solution for.

Thank you for your sincere reply. I think I raised a sensitive and thorny issue, so most people keep silent. Sexual desire is not a sin, but it can sometimes lead to sin, which is something we all have to be careful about. Thanks again to everyone, I think these replies have solved my doubts. This is a fellowship of love, thank god!
